- We start this morning mild and muggy with temperatures in the 70's and 80's and high humidity. Highs this afternoon will be warm in the lower 90's for most with heat index values between 100 and 105 degrees. A few rounds of scattered storms are possible over the next couple of days. The first comes this afternoon/evening with the chance of a strong storm or two. Damaging wind gusts would be the main threat. The second round comes near the coast overnight into early Thursday morning. The last round starts to pop up Thursday afternoon into the evening. We dry out heading into the weekend with low rain chances, but high heat. Highs will be in the low-to-mid 90’s this weekend into early next week with heat index values in the triple digits. The tropics are quiet.
