President Museveni was declared winner of the January polls with 7,946,772 votes, representing 71.65 per cent of the valid votes cast, stretching his rule beyond four decades.
Mr Kyagulanyi finished second with 2,741,238 votes (24.72 per cent).
The musician turned politician, however, publicly rejected the results, describing them as "fake" and "fabricated."

- The Executive Director of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCAUG), Hajjat Sharifah Buzeki, says the authority has secured 1,980 market spaces outside Kampala as part of government efforts to enforce trade order in the city.
Speaking at City Hall, Ms Buzeki said the spaces are meant to accommodate street vendors ahead of the February 19, 2026, deadline to vacate city roads.
“We have provided 1,980 spaces outside Kampala to ensure that no vendor is left without an alternative. The time for operating on the streets is coming to an end,” she said.
KCCA currently manages 17 public markets within the city and 69 privately owned markets. Ms Buzeki urged vendors to relocate voluntarily before the enforcement begins.
“No one should claim there is no space. Markets are available both within and outside the city,” she emphasised.
The directive, issued on February 5, followed concerns over congestion, poor sanitation, and public safety.
