Fire and Emergency said eight fire trucks attended the fire which also damaged another, nearby, home and destroyed caravans near the homes.
Today all that remained standing in the address where the fire began was a single chimney rising out of the blackened remains of the building.
Fire and Emergency said investigators were working at the scene on Sunday to determine the cause of the blaze.

Jones travelled to Canada in March last year to attend the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada convention. The original trip was budgeted and approved by Cabinet to cost $33,000 but ended up blowing out to $63,000.
"It genuinely was an administrative error," Luxon said. "I expect it won't happen again."
However, the Finance Minister Nicola Willis criticised Jones, saying he has made "significant errors". Jones has immediately fired back, telling RNZ Willis "must be in possession of information I don't have, because to the best of my knowledge there were no errors made by my office".

The free prescriptions would apply to all funded medicines from July next year, costed at $74.5 million a year.
"When people skip their prescriptions because of cost, their health problems can get worse - and that costs everyone more in the long run," leader Chris Hipkins said.
The previous Labour government brought in free prescriptions as part of its 2023 Budget. National heavily criticised the move as too costly at the time, immediately promising to reinstate the co-payment fee.
