Addressing journalists, representatives of the communities accused some Ijaw groups from Gbaramatu and Egbema Kingdoms of unlawfully occupying the Chevron-operated Olero Flowstation and laying claim to ancestral lands and host-community rights.
The communities maintain that the Olero Flowstation is hosted by seven indigenous communities Ebrohimi, Obaghoro, Tebu, Gbokoda, Aja-Amita, Udo and Jakpa.
They allege that the occupation violates a peace accord reached on June 8 and poses a threat to peace and stability in the area.
