- METHEMBE Tshuma arrived from Ghana where he had remained to undergo surgery to correct his broken femur bone sustained in the 200m semi finals of the African Senior Championships in Accra, Ghana last week.
Tshuma stayed behind with Christine Mutangadura, the Zimbabwe team's physiotherapist to go under the surgeon's knife when the rest of the team returned on Tuesday.
He arrived at the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport accompanied by Mutangadura and were met the Bulawayo Metropolitan Deputy Director in the Ministry of Sports Isaiah Mpofu, Manuel Mpofu the National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe director of competitions and national team coach Phakamile Lisimati.
Mutangadura said she was impressed with the way Tshuma had responded to rehabilitation after surgery.
Lisimati said he wishes his sprinter speedy recovery.

- PROMISING Zimbabwe sprinter Methembe Tshuma is expected to arrive at the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport on Saturday afternoon from Ghana where he had gone to take part in the African Senior Championships which ended last Sunday.
Tshuma stayed behind when the team returned on Monday after breaking his right femur while running the semi-finals of the 200m. It was a freak incident when he tried to stop abruptly following a false start, tumbling to the tarmac, breaking his femur in the process.
According to the National Athletics Association of Zimbabwe (NAAZ) president, Tshuma will return alongside Christine Mutangadura who stayed behind to offer support as he underwent surgery.
Mutangadura was the team’s physiotherapist in Ghana.
While in Bulawayo, Tshuma will continue to receive medical attention from a specialist and Mutangadura will help with the rehabilitation process which she begun in Ghana.

The group has embarked on a refurbishment project aimed at improving learning conditions for pupils, beginning with the installation of new classroom doors.
For years, several classrooms at the school had been left with broken or open doors, exposing learners to harsh weather conditions. During the rain season water would soak into the rooms, disrupting lessons and damaging teaching materials.
