- The Kenya Junior Baseball 5 team is in Uganda for the East Africa Regional Baseball 5 Tournament that is set to begin on Friday in Kampala.
The Kenyan juniors arrived in Uganda on Wednesday and began their training on Thursday in readiness for the opening match.
Kenya joins hosts Uganda, Tanzania, and South Sudan in a battle for the ticket to the Africa Super 8 Championships. The top two teams at the end of the competition will secure qualification slots.
Kenya play the opening match on Friday afternoon against Tanzania.
The Kenyan side of ten players, five men and five women lost the regional title to hosts Uganda last year.

Waiyaki Way, Thika Road, Mombasa Road, Kangundo Road and Magadi Road were turned into active security zones, with police using spikes, stones and their own vehicles to block access routes.
Police defended the move, saying it was meant to prevent goons from accessing the CBD.
However, travellers and business people described the disruption as an inconvenience that could have been avoided, warning of its impact on the economy.
