- How did a drug meant to treat diabetes become India’s top-selling drug within months of its launch?
We went undercover to investigate the booming market for Mounjaro, an injectable that apart from type-II diabetes, can also be prescribed by specialist doctors for severe and complicated obesity. Effective for weight loss, it is not meant for everyone and should not be used without medical advice.
But, as we found, the prescription-only drug is available on tap. From chemist shops and online sellers agreeing to sell Mounjaro without a prescription to unauthorised doctors prescribing the drug as part of beauty treatments in aesthetic salons, many are profiting from India’s obsession with weight-loss – at a steep cost to the health of users.

- In this episode of Yeh Daagh Daagh Ujala, Harsh Mander talks with Zoya Hasan, Saroj Giri, and Yamini Aiyar about the student protests that have spread across the country this year — and why they're about so much more than the one incident that set them off. The conversation digs into jobless growth, exam scams, and a public education system that's been failing young people for years. What comes through is how this generation is pushing back: with humour, with sharp political language, and with a real insistence on constitutional rights and accountability from the state.

Roy said the ‘cockroach’ movement, which emerged out of a social media parody account, had already achieved more than what it had set out to do.
