- Syrian authorities thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large shipment of advanced weapons across the country's border with Iraq that was destined for the Lebanese group Hezbollah, the Interior Ministry said Thursday.
The ministry said specialized units intercepted the shipment before it entered Syrian territory after detecting a suspicious vehicle parked near the border.

- The US Central Command (CENTCOM) said it completed its latest wave of strikes against Iran late Monday, targeting military sites along the country's southern coastline in an effort "to further degrade Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping."
"U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) completed the latest wave of strikes against Iran at 10:15 p.m. ET on July 13," it said in a statement.
During the five-hour mission, the command said its forces successfully struck military targets across Iran, including in Bushehr, Chah Bahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa and Bandar Abbas.

Israeli military drones first targeted a maintenance and machine shop in the neighborhood without any prior warning, before the military issued an attack warning and carried out a second bombardment of the area.
Eyewitnesses reported that the military targeted the location with three consecutive missiles, prompting the dispatch of ambulances and civil defense teams to the scene before the killed and injured individuals were transported to Al-Shifa Hospital.
