- FORECAST | New Area to Watch in the Tropics
- Runtime
- 3:53
- Date posted
- Description
- Definitely another hot and humid day and with no rain chances pretty much it’s been nice and mostly clear across most of the area but hot and humid. Definitely today but we’re gonna be watching the moisture that’s up to the north continue to move towards the east and that’s where our next area of tropical development is currently a low 20% chance over the next seven days just off the East Coast and we were talking about this moisture and this area. It is a low chance, but some models are hinting at some potential tropical entities, but we are going to see some tropical moisture move our way regardless of development as we head towards the middle of this week higher range chances Tuesday, Wednesday as we’re gonna continue to watch the system into the early week, but just a reminder it’s gonna be another hot day tomorrow on your Sunday so make sure you’re staying cool and hydrated.

- Description
- Another hot and humid Friday as we going towards this upcoming weekend, we’re gonna watch our heat continue to increase, especially our heat index values coming close to heat, advisory criteria, less rain chances and by the middle of next week rain chances will increase we’ve had heat and the sea values all around into the 90s and 100s this afternoon but as we go towards your Friday evening, mostly clear skies and temperatures slowly going back down to mild conditions Saturday we’re gonna be watching out for another hot humid day with heated seat values increasing throughout the weekend into early next week. The rain chances will stay until the lower end, but will rise them towards the middle of next week and that’s to and that’s to deal with some of the moisture wrapping around the high pressure that’s gonna give us our hot weather on Sunday and Monday, but the moisture looking to move back down towards the Gulf Coast on the middle of the week in the tropics right now ar...

- A snake made a guest appearance at the Flora-Bama this week during an afternoon outdoor beach performance by local musician, Ryan Balthrop. He grabbed his phone to get video of the special visitor whose slithering motions in the sand grabbed everyone's attention.
Balthrop joked with his audience saying the snake was "trying to run out on his tab" calling him a "real snake in the grass." Michael Niemeyer of Wildlife Solutions identified the snake as an Eastern coachwhip which inhabits the dunes around Fort Morgan and Orange Beach. "Nonvenomous. Really cool snakes. They grow really long and they're really fast," said Niemeyer.

- FORECAST | Lower Rain Chances Through the Weekend
- Runtime
- 3:29
- Date posted
- Description
- It’s been hot and humid today. There are a few spot of your showers mainly staying west of I 65 but they will fizzle out and won’t last long. Hot and humid temperatures across the area, especially with heat to sea values all around into the 90s and a few triple digits this evening the rain chances will decrease in our temperatures will go down into the mid 70s overnight tonight into your Friday morning with a partly cloudy mostly clear day tomorrow. We’re gonna keep our heat in the sea values on the rise, potentially becoming heated advisory criteria by early next week then rain chances will start to rise as we head towards the middle of next week too so this weekend will slowly become more hot and humid. There’s gonna be a ridge of high-pressure moving across portions of the southeast and the Midwest that that could create a heat wave across this area. That’s why we’re gonna have some very hot humid temperatures for early next week as the high continues to shift it will s...
