- The Juniper "Bates" Motel in Macdoel had been abandoned some 30 years ago however it was a local tourist attraction because of its decay and a creepy atmosphere. Other building behind the motel have also been lost. The size of the Tennant Fire has grown to 6000 acres as of 6pm.

- SISKIYOU COUNTY, Calif. — The Tennant Fire burning near US-97 and Tenant Road in the Klamath National Forest has burned 1,700 acres and is 5% contained. Fire crews focused overnight on building a line around the other 95% of the fire. Fire officials say the fire is burning in brush and young timber with rapid rates of spread. As of 3:14 p.m., the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office has issued an evacuation order for the area east of US-97 to east Ball Mountain Road, and from Old State Highway to Bray. US-97 is closed for northbound traffic at SR-265 and to southbound traffic at the Dorris Ag Station.

More than 1000 personnel are fighting the fire. Tuesday, firefighters planned to scout for containment opportunities north of the fire and hold constructed lines to the south and west, cutting off the fire before it reaches residential areas, the Forest Service said. Steep rocky terrain, limited road access to the fire and limited water sources close to the fire are impeding firefighting efforts in the area.

- An LAFD engine discovered a building on fire in the 13000 block of Ventura Blvd and requested a full structure fire response from dispatch. Units arrived and made quick access into the building while pouring water onto the roof from the engine. An LAFD member attempted to access an adjoining building using a circular saw when gasoline from the tool spilled over him. His colleagues managed to dowse him with water before he suffered any injuries. The original fire building was destroyed by the blaze and was knocked down in 24 minutes by 35 firefighters.

- Just after midnight, CHP and LACoFD responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a tow truck and a semi-truck. Officials arrived at the scene and located a flatbed tow truck that appears to have rear-ended a semi-truck, the force of the collision ripped the cab off of the flatbed tow truck, sending the flatbed portion under the semi and leaving the cab in the roadway. The force of the collision ripped both axles and wheels off of the semi-truck trailer sending them into other lanes. The driver of the tow truck was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the semi-truck were not injured and no other injuries were reported.

The protesters walked around the station for a short time before heading south on Hazeltine. Most of the people dispersed after about 30 minutes. Minor damage was reported to the station walls.

- The crash came out around 8.20pm and LAFD arrived on scene and requested additional resources. The small sedan struck a wheel that had come from the eastbound side. A 2nd vehicle also struck the wheel. 2 people in the sedan were seriously injured. A pick up truck resting on its front axle was about 1/4 of a mile east of the accident.
