- Twice a year the Paris metro holds auditions for musicians who want to perform in the corridors of the metro. Those who are successful are given permission to busk for at least six months. One of the most successful is Pédro Kouyaté, a musician from Mali who's been making his living playing underground for the last ten years, after getting his musical start with Boubacar Traoré. - In the lead up to the COP21 talks on climate change here in Paris in December, there’s a lot of talk about reducing our carbon footprint – in other words the amount of CO2 we generate and which is one of the main gases involved in contributing to climate change.
But we’re also leaving a big water footprint and that's something we talk a lot less about and which deserves a bit more attention because if we don't reduce it, we going to have serious water shortages everywhere in the world.
