- Why do so many leaders avoid making difficult decisions?
This video explores the growing phenomenon of “the democratization of irresponsibility”.
An observed culture in which power is widely distributed among individuals, but accountability is increasingly absent.
We examine how political, corporate, and institutional leaders often avoid taking responsibility and shy away from bold choices that could trigger public debate or harm their reputation. Instead, they focus on maintaining their positions. While this approach may reduce short-term conflict, it can leave societies unable to address major challenges effectively, and can lead to more issues in the long-term.
Topics covered:
* The rise of risk-averse leadership
* Why decision-makers fear controversy
* The incentives that reward inaction
* How accountability is being diluted
* The long-term consequences for governance and society

- A new global crisis ahead? Analysis of systemic risks & historical patterns -- In this video, geopolitical strategist Velina Tchakarova examines a sequence of major global disruptions; the 2007–2008 financial crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the 2022 war in Ukraine. She explores whether these global events signal a pattern of escalating systemic instability.
The discussion focuses on the possibility of a future global shock within the next 6-9 months, often described in her analysis as a “systemic risk induced global crisis.” While the outlook is framed as severe and far-reaching, Tchakarova also emphasizes that impacts would likely vary significantly across regions.
The analysis is ongoing and continuously updated as new variables emerge. This video aims to present the key arguments and context behind these claims for viewers interested in global risk trends and macro-level developments.

She argues that organizations such as the MEK depend heavily on foreign support which in turn causes them to lose significant amounts of grassroots backing and support among Iranians.
The speaker compares this with the rise of Ayatollah Khomeini during the 1970s. She emphasises that his influence originated from Iran’s religious institutions and society, rather than from foreign governments. While not necessarily endorsing Iran’s current political system, the speaker highlights the importance of domestic legitimacy and popular support in shaping political leadership.

She raises broader concerns about what qualifies someone to be able to lead a political transition, especially in a country facing deep internal divisions and ongoing political uncertainty. The discussion highlights the gap between opposition figures in exile and the realities inside Iran. As well as the challenges of turning political messaging into a workable governing framework.
Is opposition to the current system enough to justify a leadership position, or does effective leadership require experience, structure, and a clear vision for governance?

- Why has conflict between Lebanon and Israel recurred over the decades?
One perspective argues that the weakness of the Lebanese state—particularly during and after the civil war—created space for armed non-state actors, including Hezbollah, to operate independently. Cross-border attacks and retaliatory actions contributed to repeated escalations.
At the same time, Lebanon’s internal political system—shaped by sectarian power-sharing and deep diversity—has made governance more complex. Identity politics, foreign influence, and regional rivalries have all played roles in limiting the state’s ability to fully assert control over security and defense.
This video explores that argument while acknowledging the broader historical context: competing narratives, regional tensions, and the challenges of managing sovereignty in a highly diverse society.

Born in 1989, the year before the end of Lebanon's brutal civil war, Hadi grew up navigating Syrian military checkpoints, witnessing political assassinations, and coming of age during the Cedar Revolution.
Is Hezbollah really a Lebanese movement or an Iranian proxy?
Hadi breaks down how Hezbollah was founded through a decree from Khomeini, how its former Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah publicly declared allegiance to Iran's Supreme Leader, and why the EU's distinction between a "political wing" and a "military wing" is according to him, a dangerous fiction that has allowed Hezbollah to run financial operations across Europe.

- Description
- This video explores a hypothetical post-NATO security environment in Europe and its potential geopolitical implications in the Eastern Mediterranean.
It examines how evolving alliances involving Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, and Israel-alongside broader EU and U.S. strategic interests-could reshape regional stability.
Rather than predicting *specific* outcomes, the discussion focuses on key strategic dynamics such as deterrence, energy politics, migration *pressures*, and shifting military balances. The goal is to better understand how fragile regional equilibria *may* become under major structural changes in the global security architecture.
This is an analytical overview intended for educational and geopolitical discussion purposes.

- Whether the United States formally exits NATO tomorrow, or the alliance slowly fades into irrelevance. The outcome may look strikingly similar.
Europe is already stepping into a far more dangerous era. One that is defined by regional power struggles, shifting alliances, and rising uncertainty.
Without a strong, unified defence of its own, Europe risks of having its future shaped by external powers rather than by its own accord.
The question now becomes, will Europe have the will to adapt before it’s too late?

For over 70 years, Europe has relied on American military protection, allowing it to prioritize economic growth and social development. But in 2026, signals from Washington suggest a shift that could redefine global security. What if the United States steps back?
This episode dives into the potential consequences of a post-NATO world:
A vulnerable and fragmented Europe forced to fend for itself
Rising tensions in Eastern Europe, with countries like Poland and the Baltics exposed
The risk of shifting alliances and individual deals with global powers like Russia
Escalating instability in the Mediterranean, including possible conflict involving Turkey, Israel, Greece, and Cyprus
The harsh reality that economic strength alone cannot replace military power
As Europe faces the possibility of standing alone, th...

- Member of the European Parliament for Lega, Paolo Borchia states that the EU is disconnected from the real economy, making policy decisions that can undermine competitiveness and key industries. He claims current measures, such as the European Green Deal, are weakening Europe’s economic base and contributing to deindustrialisation. These policies have negative real-world impacts. He calls for a shift in political direction, emphasising the need to restore growth and reinforce Europe’s economic resilience.

- Orbán lost, of course, for purely external reasons as well. The key factor was the public’s weariness with a single team having been in power for 16 years. In Poland, after eight years of either Tusk’s or Kaczyński’s governments, the feeling emerged that it was too long. The Hungarians, however, are more composed; for historical reasons, they are better able to function within institutional frameworks, so they were not quite so impatient. A long period in power also means mistakes and blunders that accumulate and eventually build a grand coalition for change. Prime Minister Orbán could have prevented this as recently as two years ago, for example by replacing key politicians within his own camp. But he did not decide to do so, or perhaps he could not. And then it was already too late.

- The magnitude of Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s defeat is surprising, perhaps even shocking. The fact his Fidesz party lost by a solid margin, however, should have surprised no one.
Orbán is widely derided by Western elites as an autocrat, and it is true that the state and most privately owned media are relentlessly supportive of him. But that’s never why Orbán was re-elected three times. He won because he did what every good democratic politician does: Provide peace and prosperity while respecting the nation’s values.
