President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says her decision not to attend the Genocide Remembrance Day commemorations in May was because she could not choose to participate in one region over another.

The groups legal representative, Joas Neemwatya told NewsOnOne that his clients feel wronged by the statements, allegedly made by the secretary general, who is cited in the matter in her official capacity.

A Windhoek newspaper vendor, Eliaser Fillemon, says the late parliamentarian James Uerikua, was his client who regularly bought newspapers from him in Windhoek’s Dorado Park.
Fillemon, who stands at the circle in Dorado Park, said he only learned about Uerikua’s and his son passing on Tuesday, explaining that he was offline the whole weekend as he did not have data.
Fillemon described Uerikua as a good-hearted man who would have small chats with him and sometimes gave him extra money, even though he only purchased three newspapers.
He said he last saw Uerikua on Thursday, which is the day before he passed away in a road traffic accident.
"Uerikua was a good-hearted man even when he approached you, he will speak to you politely. He would encourage me to continue with my business. He would ask if I had sold out the newspapers and if I say no he asked me to give him newspapers and tell me he will pay ...
