- Local Level Government Presidents and Ward Members intending to contest the national election should now resign and contest the election.
This follows a submission made by the Minister for Justice, Bryan Kramer and Inter-Government Relations Minister, Pila Ninigi to the National Executive Council.
Minister Kramer announced this in a news conference in Port Moresby, today.
He says the proposed amendment to the Local Level Governments Administration Act 1997 will be tabled in this month’s final sitting of the Parliament.
