Lelehoa Primary School on the outskirts of Alotau had to suspend classes to do a thorough cleanup of their main water tank after someone defecated in it.

- The office of the Member for Kairuku Hiri, Peter Isoaimo continues to support Small Medium Enterprises activities in his district.
Over the weekend, sixteen women groups received seed capital of K80,000 from the member to continue their SME activities.
Apart from this assistance, the Kairuku Hiri District Development Authority has supported a lot of locals through the SME partnership arrangements with local businesses in the district.

- The organizers of the 6th JT Super Nines Cup will introduce an ID system for the duration of the March 2nd to 13th tournament at the Moresby South Stadium at Kaugere in Port Moresby.
Tournament Director, Bagelo Solien, says they are introducing the ID cards to help them identify team management and players who are cheating or doing foul play during the event.
