Description: University of Hawaii quarterback Micah Alejado was named the Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after leading the Rainbow Warriors to a 56-21 road victory over Northern Illinois on Saturday.

The honor is Alejado’s first of the season and third of his career.

Alejado completed 22 of 32 passes for 323 yards and three touchdowns, recording his third 300-yard passing performance of the season and eighth of his career. He also connected on four passes of at least 40 yards.

Behind Alejado, Hawaii (2-6) posted season highs in points (56) and total offense (504 yards). The 56 points marked the program’s highest scoring output in eight seasons and tied the school record for most points scored in a Mountain West game, matching its total in a 2013 overtime loss at Wyoming.
