- At least two polling places have been changed for the primary election because of the storm damage.
In Sutton, voting will still be held at the Senior Community Center. That building is not damaged but is without power.
However, Clay County Clerk Deborah Karnatz said they will move a generator to the building, which will enable them to continue using it as a polling site.
But, polling places in Cordova and Beaver Crossing in Seward County will be moved.
Voters who normally go to the Cordova location will need to go to the Utica Senior Center.
Voters who go to the Beaver Crossing location, will need to report to the Goehner Fire Hall.
All other polling sites in Seward County remain the same.

- While there's controversy surrounding care at some VA medical hospitals across the country, officials with VA Hospital in Grand Island says quality of care is their top priority.
12 thousand veterans are served at the VA hospital in Grand Island. The healthcare system uses an electronic waiting list for patients that can't get in within 90 days.
Angela Williams with the Grand Island VA says the system is used as a tool for transparency about the number of patients waiting.
"I don't think it's common. It's just like when you go to your primary care provider and you can't get in within 30 days. He disagrees with any candidate who claims they have no knowledge of attacks on competitors from political action committees.
Johanns went on to say that voters know that big dollars from national groups come with strings attached.
"I think Nebraskans are extremely discerning... they expect something in return..."

- Over 12,000 runners participated in the 37th annual National Guard Lincoln Marathon this year. That's a course record. While many runners were going for their personal best time, one Hastings man was running for a reason much closer to home.
Two shots of a gun, and thousands of runners are off. Pete Theoharis, a Hastings native was one of those people in the seemingly endless waves of runners. Seventeen weeks of marathon training and Forty--three--hundred dollars of money going towards a cure for leukemia later, Pete is stepping up to the starting line in Lincoln. But his finishing time wasn't what he was running for. It's something much more special to him.
"My inspiration is my son and all he went through with his battle with leukemia."
Pete's 13-- year old son Nikos was diagnosed with leukemia on May 15th, of 2003 when he was just 3 years old. Nikos was in and out of the hospital for 3 years and 2 months. He underwent daily chemo, over...

- Governor Dave Heineman showed no restraint, utilizing his veto power often this past legislative session, including after lawmakers passed bills on the final day.
With 7 candidates vying for his seat, we spoke with one, a current state Senator to get his take on the power to veto.
Republican, Tom Carlson says it's the Governor's prerogative.
"Governor Heineman is a conservative, a fiscal conservative, so am I. He had several bills that we had the final vote on the last day of the session. They went to him and he could do whatever he wanted and we didn't have a chance to override them. He did what he thought was best, I don't have any problem with that, and there certainly would be bills that I would veto as Governor." Said Carlson.
Governor Heineman vetoed the Nurse Practitioner bill following the final day of the session.
Carlson says he probably would not have vetoed the bill, which passed by a 43 to 0 vote.

An early response can save lives though.
This is National Stroke Awareness Month, and one local man is sharing his story in hopes of helping others.
Dr. Robin Koozer suffered a stroke in late February, but he made a quick recovery and he's back at work.
Dr. Robin Koozer is a professor of music.
He needs his voice and his hands.
"There are certain aspects of my job that I probably would not be able to accomplish had I not been medicated." Said Dr. Koozer.
While Koozer's health is in tune today, back in February it was playing the wrong note.
"I was seated at my computer at my desk," explained Dr. Koozer. "And suddenly my vision was impaired."
Blurred vision, weakness, numbness, and tingling on one side of the body, dizziness, trouble speaking and a headache; all are symptoms of a stroke.
