- HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A woman was killed during a domestic disturbance at a home in the Cypress area.
The shooting occurred around 9:00 p.m. in the 14100 block of Cypress Falls in the Fairwood subdivision near Grant Road.
According to Harris County Precinct 4, deputies along with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded to a weapons disturbance call at the residence. A 44-year-old female was shot by her estranged husband during the incident.
The suspect fled the scene but was later located in the area by Harris County Precinct 4 and DPS at the dead end of Fallbrook near Walnut Lake in the Wortham Falls subdivision. Authorities said the suspect was still armed and discharged a weapon at arriving officers.
The Harris County SWAT team responded, and the suspect was detained without further incident.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 10 p.m. near the intersection of Telge Road and Spring Cypress Road.
A vehicle was observed running a red light while traveling westbound on Spring Cypress. A deputy, who was stopped at a red light on the opposite side of the roadway, activated emergency lights and siren. As the deputy turned around, the vehicle accelerated at a high rate of speed, turned off its lights, and was quickly lost from view.
The vehicle continued westbound, went down a ramp, and entered a wooded area. The deputy initially searched the area before turning back. Upon returning, the deputy observed a fire in the woods, believed to be the same vehicle.

According to the Houston Police Department, the shooting was reported around 9 p.m. in the 3600 block of Hollister, in front of Hollibrook Elementary School.
Police say officers with the Northwest Patrol Division responded to the scene and found a male with multiple gunshot wounds. Houston Fire Department personnel were already on scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
