- HOUSTON, TX - Police say a 20-year-old woman was shot in the neck after a business key holder responded to a call about two vehicles in a parking lot at a southeast Houston business earlier today.
According to the Houston Police Department, the key holder went to check on the property, heard what he believed to be gunshots, and fired toward the vehicles. The woman was struck in the neck.
Police say both vehicles took off, and the one with the woman crashed after going to the other side of the freeway, and the woman and the male driver fled on foot. Officers located the wounded woman and transported her to a local hospital, and she is in stable condition. The man who was with the woman and the other vehicle, a white SUV, got away.

- SPRING, TX - One person was killed, and several others were injured after a multi-alarm apartment fire destroyed an eight-unit building at the Cypresswood Apartments early Monday morning.
According to the Klein Fire Department, firefighters and mutual aid agencies responded to the fire at 1:39 a.m. at the apartment complex near Cypresswood Drive and Kuykendahl Road. The first arriving crews encountered heavy fire through the roof and a partial structural collapse.
Before firefighters arrived, Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies, who were in the area on an unrelated call, spotted smoke and began knocking on doors to evacuate residents. Neighbors also assisted with the evacuations.
