- HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office District 3 responded to a disturbance that escalated into a weapons disturbance while they were en route to the call.
The incident occurred during a homecoming party where several uninvited guests reportedly arrived. When they were asked to leave, the uninvited individuals allegedly produced firearms, leading to a shooting.
Three people, including one adult and two juveniles, sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. They were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Deputies stated that a suspect has been identified, though information has not yet been released.

According to the Houston Police Department, the shooting occurred in the 5800 block of Glenmont Drive at the Cedar Glen Apartment Complex. An individual was seen running through the front of the apartment complex when a vehicle traveling westbound on Glenmont Drive began shooting in his direction.
During the shooting, one of the family members, a woman, was struck in the stomach.
EMS transported the victim to a nearby hospital. She is currently listed in stable condition and is expected to survive.
Children and other family members were present at the time, but no one else was injured.

Upon arrival, responders found multiple injured individuals on the street in front of the 17-story building. A primary search of the structure revealed two additional individuals, who were guided to the triage area.
In total, six workers sustained thermal burns and lacerations and were transported to the hospital. There were no reports of fire or smoke inside the building. The explosion caused several windows to blow out and parts of the building’s façade to detach, prompting the establishment of a fall zone.

- HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A deputy with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) discharged his weapon during a call for service near a Walgreens, striking an adult male.
The incident occurred around 8:42 p.m. last night in the 12000 block of Veterans Memorial. According to HCSO, deputies responded after a Walgreens employee reported a male harassing customers in the parking lot.
HCSO stated the deputy spoke with the employee before approaching the male, who was still outside. The deputy attempted to detain him, but the man got up, walked away, and refused to comply with commands. The deputy followed the male for approximately 50 yards while giving repeated verbal commands.
According to HCSO, two attempts to deploy a Taser were unsuccessful. The deputy then drew his firearm and, after continued noncompliance, discharged one round, striking the male in the wrist and hip.

- HOUSTON, TX – A man in his mid-20s was fatally shot in the parking lot of the 7200 block of Bissonnet Street around 10:10 p.m. on September 6, 2025.
According to HPD, the victim was in the lot engaged in a verbal altercation with his girlfriend. As he walked toward the street, a dark-colored Ford SUV arrived. An individual exited the vehicle and began firing at the victim from a distance.
After the shooting, the suspect returned to the SUV, and the vehicle left the scene. Investigators said the shooting appeared unrelated, with no prior interaction between the suspect and the victim.
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. His girlfriend was not injured but returned after hearing the shots and attempted to help him.

- HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A shooting occurred after a minor fender bender involving a passenger car and a box truck near Clay Road and Greenhouse around 1:40 a.m. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the drivers pulled into a parking lot, where a firearm was displayed and shots were exchanged. Investigators have video footage showing both occupants of the passenger car and the box truck discharging firearms.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a patrol deputy then observed a vehicle run a red light and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was found to have sustained a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
All individuals involved have been detained for further investigation and possible charges.

- HARRIS COUNTY, TX – The Atascocita Fire Department hosted a joint swift water rescue training exercise today on Lake Houston, bringing together multiple agencies to prepare for flood-related emergencies.
The training focused on scenarios involving victims stranded in floodwaters, including rescues of individuals trapped on top of vehicles and rooftops. Crews practiced low head dam operations, re-flipping rescue boats in the event of capsizing, and retrieving victims safely from boats. Motorized boats, including banana boats and rigid inflatable boats, were used in the exercises.
