- HOUSTON, TX – The Houston Police Department is investigating a shooting involving two neighbors at the Siena Villas Apartment Homes in the 16000 block of Cotillion.
The shooting occurred around 2:13 a.m. Officers with the North Patrol Division responded to the location and learned that two adult males had sustained gunshot wounds. Officers applied a tourniquet to one of the victims before Houston Fire Department personnel arrived.
HFD transported both victims to a local hospital. Police say both men were reported to be in stable condition.
According to police, the shooting stemmed from a dispute between upstairs and downstairs neighbors who were intoxicated. Charges are pending further investigation.

The crash occurred around 8:25 p.m. in the 2300 block of Davis near the 2700 block of Quitman. Units were called to the location for a collision involving a citizen’s vehicle and a pedestrian. The driver was traveling eastbound on Quitman toward the U.S. 59 Freeway when he struck an object and then heard people on a nearby corner begin to scream.
He stopped and discovered he had run over a man lying in the roadway. A deceased male was found at the scene, and family members arrived shortly afterward.
Police believe the man had been in distress and may have attempted to commit suicide earlier in the day, which may explain why he was in the roadway. The driver showed no signs of impairment, and investigators believe only one vehicle struck the pedestrian.

Officers pursued the individuals and detained six people.

The incident occurred on U.S. 90 near Wolfe Island Road just north of 99. Dayton police stated the monks were walking on the shoulder with a vehicle following behind them with its hazard lights on when a truck hit the vehicle, forcing it into the monks.

- HUMBLE, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal crash after a man using a walker was struck by a vehicle on Aldine Bender Road near Lee Road around 10:30 p.m
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division, the victim, described as a 50- to 60-year-old man who was possibly homeless, was either crossing or standing in the street when he was hit and projected into the median. EMS pronounced him deceased at the scene.
The driver, a man about 40 years old, remained on scene, cooperated with investigators, and showed no signs of intoxication.
The case will be reviewed by the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.

- HOUSTON, TX – A 70-year-old man was shot during an armed robbery at a USAA ATM in a Walmart parking lot in west Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
The incident began around 11:06 p.m. near Westview and the Beltway. Police said the victim was approached by at least one suspect who forced him to withdraw money from the ATM. After obtaining the cash, the suspect shot the man once before fleeing the scene.
The victim managed to drive away but lost consciousness a short distance later. A tow truck driver passing by found him shot inside his vehicle and called 911. The Houston Fire Department transported the man to a nearby hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
Police said the suspect was wearing a black mask. The Houston Police Department’s Robbery Division is investigating the case.

- HOUSTON, TX – A man was shot multiple times in the 5800 block of Heatherbloom in southwest Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.
The shooting occurred around 10:15 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The Houston Fire Department transported him to a nearby hospital, where he remains in unknown condition.
Investigators said the victim and another man exchanged gunfire before the second man fled in a white SUV. The suspect is described only as a Black male who left the area after the shooting.

- HOUSTON, TX – A fire broke out just after 2 a.m. Monday at a commercial building in Houston, in the 2500 block of Southmore on the corner of Live Oak.
According to the Houston Fire Department, the blaze began on the bottom floor of the vacant building, and the roof later collapsed. One firefighter sustained minor injuries, possibly from falling roof tiles, and was transported to a hospital. He has since been released from the hospital.
The Houston Fire Department’s Arson Division is working to determine the cause of the fire.

- HOUSTON, TX – A 22-year-old male was critically injured in a shooting early Sunday morning at The Morgan Apartment Homes in southwest Houston.
The shooting occurred around 1:50 a.m. in the 2400 block of Westridge. According to police, officers arrived to find the victim lying outside after attempting to get help. Officers immediately applied a tourniquet to control the bleeding before Houston Fire Department paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital.
Police say the victim had reportedly been robbed at gunpoint by several individuals about two hours earlier at the same apartment complex. Investigators believe it is possible that the same suspect or suspects involved in the earlier robbery may be connected to the shooting.
Multiple shell casings of different calibers were recovered at the scene. No suspects are in custody at this time.

- HOUSTON, TX – A young Hispanic male was killed in a hit-and-run crash involving a red GMC pickup truck early Sunday morning in southeast Houston.
The crash occurred around 12:53 a.m. in the 7000 block of Kassarine Pass. According to police, the victim was struck by a red GMC pickup truck traveling at a high rate of speed. The victim was transported to Ben Taub Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Witnesses told police that a large party was taking place nearby, and the victim, who had been attending the gathering, was walking down the street when the truck passed and hit him.
The suspect vehicle is described as a red GMC truck with front-end and possible undercarriage damage. The suspected driver is believed to be a young Hispanic male.
