South Sudan Police say they are intensifying the fight against drug trafficking and substance abuse following the arrest of two suspected drug dealers at Juba International Airport and 60 youths during weekend operations in Juba. Authorities warn that the growing use and distribution of drugs is contributing to crime, gang violence, and putting more young people at risk.
They are calling on the public, parents, and communities to work together in tackling the problem.
Question
Police say drug trafficking and substance abuse are contributing to rising crime and putting more young people at risk. What more should be done to stop drugs from entering South Sudan, and how can parents, communities, and authorities work together to protect young people from drug abuse and gang violence? Is bride price becoming too expensive, or should cultural practices remain as they are? Join today’s Dawn Show discussion and let your voice be heard.
Question
