Description: A small aircraft made an emergency landing at Maither Field just after midnight Wednesday, April 14 2010. It was reported that the aircraft was coming in with an engine on fire. Just before landing, the pilot was able to restart the engine and land safely. Sac Metro Fire Departmenst airport crash truck firefighters, in silver suits, checked the aircraft out while additional aparatus staged near by.

Suprise suprise...the teller was in the vault calling the cops, and when the deputies walked in, the stealthy bank robber was still sitting in a chair, waiting for his cash.

Description: Friday evening, per Jim Doucette, SacFire PIO, a man and his family were traveling home to Placerville from a trip. A vehicle pulled alongside and told him his truck was on fire. He exited the free and came to a stop on the off ramp at X and 3rd in downtown Sacramento. When firefighters arrived, the truck was fully involved and the 5th Wheel RV trailer catching on fire.

Description: Wednesday afternoon, a 61 year old woman's moterized wheelchair becam stuck in the railroad tracks at Power Inn Rd and 21st St in Sacramento. She was struck by a Union Pacific freight train and was pronounced dead at the scene. Rush hour traffic was held up for several hours during investigation and clean up.

Description: Friday night officers made a felony stop at the Florin Rd. Light Rail station while the SWAT team served a warrant in the apartment complex off Florin Rd. and 29th St. SWAT had to deploy at least two flash-bang devices into the residence. There was a reoprt that children were in the apartment at the time and were impacted by the devices. Per the on scene supervisor, this may be related to the homicide that took place off Mack Rd Thursday morning where a 17 year old male was gunned down.

Description: Per Elk Grove PD Press Release- ELK GROVE, CA On March 12, 2010 at 6:53 p.m., the Elk Grove Police Department responded to a robbery that had just occurred at Kenny G & Company (7440 Laguna Boulevard).

Three masked men entered Kenny G & Company and confronted the employees inside the store as they were preparing to close. At least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun. During the robbery, one of the suspects sprayed two employees in the face with some type of chemical agent (mace or pepper spray). Two of the suspects then proceeded to gather an undetermined amount of jewelry from inside the store. The three suspects then fled the store on foot and were last seen getting into dark colored small compact vehicle. The suspects were described as Hispanic or Asian male adults, wearing bandanas that covered their faces and dark clothing. The employees who were sprayed with the chemical agent were not seriously injured.

Description: A fire broke out in a bottom floor apartment off Folsom Blvd and West La Loma Dr. in Rancho Cordova. Fire spokesman states possible cause may have been the solo elderly female occupant smoking near oxygen. The fire spread to the upstairs apartment and the apartment adjacent to that. The elderly femaile was transported to the hospital with smoke inhalation and burns after being rescued by a neighbor. The solo male occupant in the upstairs apartment awoke to the smoke and saw the flames coming through his front window. He escaped literally with the clothes on his back.

Description: SacPD aprehended a Parolee At Large Sunday afternoon. Undercover units and the SacPD helicopter located PAL Robert Padila, per SacPD spokesman Konrad von Schoech, in the 2300 block of Arden Way. As Padilla went mobile, SacPD Helicopter kept a distant eye advising units of Padilla's movements. Padilla, unaware that he had been spotted, went mayed several stops at locations in the Del Paso Heights area until units trapped him in a driveway in the 11000 block of South Ave in Hagginswood. The SacPD airship played a major role in this aprehension.

Description: We have footage available of the crash scene of a stolen vehicle also footage of ambulance arriving at UCD and victim taken out of the ambulance by paramedics. Per radio traffic, a SSD unit was in pursuit of the vehicle in the HWY 50/Mather area and lost sight of the vehicle with speeds over 100 MPH. The vehicle later crashed into a pole on Mayhew near Rosemont and caught on fire. Two of the occupants escaped the vehicle (though injured) and one was trapped while the vehicle was on fire. All three victims were transported: 1 via ambulance to Kaiser South, 1 via ambulance to UCD and 1 via CHP helicopter to UCD.
