- Late Saturday evening, CSD Fire and Paramedic crews responded to a motorcycle vs vehicle accident on south-bound Highway 99 just north of the Laguna/Bond exit in the number one lane.
When crews arrived they found a motorcyclist ejected from his bike and a white PT Cruiser by the off ramp with rear-end damage. CHP Officer Weckman tells what happened....

- When the female driver of a west bound vehicle went around the railroad crossing arms on 26th Avenue between 24th Street and Franklin Blvd in South Sacramento., her car was struck by the south bound RT Train per an on scene witness. Three occupants of the vehicle (including a child) were killed, one was in critical condition, seventeen train passengers were treated by paramedics with six of those being transported to area hospitals. - A fatal collision took place Saturday morning on Interstate 80 at the Interstate 5 interchange. The decedent crashed into an east bound vehicle that was traveling at freeway speed and shoved that vehicle up and over a fence onto the interchange offramp. The decedents vehicle flipped, ejecting her onto the freeway where she was run over by at least one vehicle. The two occupants in the vehicle that was struck were unharmed. Citrus Heights Police spokesman, Citrus Heights Lt. Gary Handricks, stated that at 3:55 am Wednesday morning, they received a call for shots fired at a residence in the 5900 block of Merlindale Drive. Handricks explained that officers entered the home and "discovered a deceased male in the bedroom and a female suffering from a gunshot wound in the leg". - An intoxicated Male subject led police on a vehicle pursuit in South Sacramento early Friday morning. The pursuit ended when the vehicle hit a power pole on the side of the road near the intersection of Lindale and Chandler.
The accident lead to a power outage in the area and knocking out power to traffic signal lights at nearby intersections including Florin Rd. and Stockton Blvd and causing several near-collisions.
The driver and several passengers in the vehicle were transported to Kaiser South and UC Davis Medical centers.
SMUD is reporting that over 1600 customers were left without power and estimates that power should be restored in the area by 4:15 am

When officers arrived on scene, they discovered the body of a 26 year old woman in a vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle told authorities the victim was originally shot at the Fastrip Gas Station on Florin and Power Inn Rd. A large group of people hanging out at the Fastrip Gas Station when shots were fired and the woman was hit, she then drove around the corner to Blackhawk Drive and Palmer House Drive where she then later died. - Friday afternoon, a subject stole a construction workers truck loaded with tools. A coworker gave chase in his truck. The suspect while trying to evade, crashed into several parking meeters and a parked vehicle. He continued a couple more blocks and crashed into an apratment building when he attempted to turn down an alley. The coworker giving chase attempted to trap the suspect by pinning the door with his truck, but the suspect busted the window out and escaped back in the direction from where he stole the vehicle. Two other coworkers spotted him and pursued him on foot, ultimately taking the suspect down and pinning him till authorities arrived. This story is best tolled in the video.

The driver of the vehicle, while pulling into a parking space, hit the accelerator and launched the vehicle through the glass and completely into an office. Moments before the crash, an employee had been sitting at the desk next to the window the car crashed through.

- Early Tuesday morning, Sac Metro and Cosumnes Fire Departments were called to Liscarney Way for two houses burning. When firefighters arrived, they found two, two story homes with the second floor of both homes well involved. All familiy members made it safely out of the homes after neighbors awakened them. Pers Sac Metro Assistance Fire Chief Rice, both homes were severely damaged and the families would not be able to inhabit them. Red cross was called to assist the families.

An 18 year old drunk driver, Tony Tran, lost control of the H2 Hummer and launched of into the living room of a two story Elk Grove home. There were two other occupants in the Hummer. The driver and one passenger fled. The remaining passenger suffered a broken ARM and was transported to the hospital by paramedics. The driver was captured and arrested.

- Three stolen vehicle suspects were taken down in the Sacramento Zoo Thursday afternoon. Per SacPD, The three suspects were involved in a stolen vehicle caper in Roseville on Wednesday. They crahsed that vehicle, a Mustang, into a pole at 21st and Florin. The suspects made their get away in another stolen vehicle, a silver SUV. When they passed the SacPD headquarters on Freeport Blvd., they were spotted by officers and took off before police units even lit them up with lights and sirens. The pursuit trailed throughout South Sacramento and LandPark area untill the suspects bailed out near the Sacramento Zoo. The suspects entered the Zoo that was then locked down by officers. Police K9 units were sent in and all three suspects were detained. One suspect, 15 years old, was bit by the K9 as was a Zoo employee who got caught in the middle of the action. SacPD PIO, Norm Leong stated, "It was a real Zoo"
