At 1:59 a.m., Sacramento Fire Department was dispatched to the 1000 block of 27th Street, in Midtown area, for reports of a structure fire.
Upon arrival firefighters encountered large flames on the exterior of the south side of the residence. Crews made a quick knockdown on the fire.
It is unknown what started the fire and Arson Investigators were dispatched to the scene.
There were no injuries and no other information is available at this time.

Just before 6:30 p.m., a vehicle accident occurred along Roseville Rd near Diablo Dr in North Highlands. One of the involved vehicles ended up on its side and the other also had major damage to the back passenger side.
The accident blocked eastbound Roseville Rd until the vehicles could be towed from the scene.
One person had to be taken to the hospital for minor injuries.

18th and V Street

At 11:04 p.m., Sacramento Police and Fire were dispatched to 18th and V street, in the Richmond Grove neighborhood, for a report of a two vehicle accident.
According to radio traffic, one of the vehicles involved in the accident was a California Highway Patrol car. Further radio traffic revealed that three individuals were seen fleeing the area.
Upon arrival, officers found four vehicles involved in the accident. Two of the vehicles were involved in the crash and the other two were parked on the street and were subsequently hit.
The CHP officer, involved in the accident, was alert and speaking with paramedics and other officers. The officer was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

Sunrise Blvd and Oak Ave
All suspects are in custody following a police chase that went through the Citrus Heights area, eventually leading the car to catch fire on Sunrise Blvd, just south of Oak Ave.
The vehicle was riding on only rims after turning too fast onto Sunrise Blvd from Greenback Ln, causing sparks to fly and catching the car on fire.
Soon after, the suspects ditched the car, and ran on foot onto the Sunrise Tech Center campus on Sunrise Blvd, but were quickly taken into custody.

At 5:36 p.m., The West Sacramento Fire Department and West Sacramento Police were dispatched to 3rd and C Street for reports of a roll over vehicle accident.
When West Sacramento Fire arrived on scene they found a silver car on its roof. The victim was still inside and was suspended by her seat belt. Fire worked quickly and efficiently to secure the car from moving. West Sacramento Fire extricated the patient who was then transferred to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

At 5:11 p.m., Sacramento Fire Department was dispatched to the 6500 block of Wesley Avenue in South Sacramento for reports of a structure fire.
When Fire arrived the found a single story house on fire. The back of the house was fully engulfed in flames. Fire made an initial fire attack and quickly got a good handle on the fire.
According to Fire Officials the house is an abandoned house that has had several calls.
It is unknown why the fire started and Fire Investigators are enroute to investigate the cause.

Upon arrival there was water coming from numerous man hole covers. Police closed off the intersection as precautionary measure.
City Water and a local contractor came on scene and shut off the water.

At 1:42 a.m., The Sacramento Sheriff's Department responded to the 2300 block of Arden Way in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood for report of a vehicle into a structure.
When officers arrived on scene, they found a Toyota Prius in the front entrance of the gun shop. Officers surrounded the building, made announcements for the people inside to come out, and deployed a K-9. No one was inside and the building was cleared.
Officers currently have Markston Road closed to conduct their investigation.

At about 1:40 a.m., Wednesday morning, a vehicle somehow crashed into a tree along the median on Elkhorn Blvd, flipping the vehicle.
Luckily, the occupants only had minor injuries according to California Highway Patrol. One person was evaluated and eventually transported for those injuries.
The fast lane going westbound on Elkhorn Blvd was blocked until a tow truck moved the car off the roadway.
All lanes of traffic are back open on westbound Elkhorn Blvd.

Just before 12:30 a.m., first responders get reports of a vehicle accident with someone trapped in their vehicle at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and Gibbons Drive in Carmichael.
When Sac Metro fire crews got on scene, they realized everyone was able to escape the overturned vehicle without injuries. Firefighters were able to clear the scene and allow law enforcement to handle the incident.

4300 Madison Ave
At about 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning, Sac Metro firefighters are dispatched to reports of a vehicle versus a pedestrian at the intersection of Madison Ave and Hillsdale Blvd in North Highlands.
According to California Highway Patrol, the responsible driver fled the scene after causing the accident, leaving the pedestrian in the roadway. Nearby drivers stop to assist, and turned their hazards on before CHP arrived on scene.
It was discovered that there were actually 2 people hit by the vehicle, so a second ambulance was requested. Firefighters stabilize the victims and both were transported to Mercy San Juan for treatment. Both victims were alert and are expected to be okay. The hit-and-run driver is still outstanding.

Watt Ave and Winona Way
Just before 4 a.m. officers got reports of a subject in a possibly stolen vehicle in the Walmart parking lot at Watt Ave and Winona Way. The subject, who called 911 himself, apparently was going to try and get the officers to shoot him when they arrived.
When deputies arrived, they located the vehicle with the subject inside. They called for the individual to come out of the vehicle multiple times. Eventually the suspect started the rev the engine and took off out of the parking lot.
The driver drove westbound on Winona Way and then turned northbound onto Roseville Rd.
Just before getting to Watt Ave, the vehicle was stopped and the suspect was taken into custody.
To prevent traffic congestion, the truck was moved into the Jack in the Box parking lot at the adjacent corner where the rest of the investigation took place.

Folsom Blvd at Ramona Ave
Traffic is now clear after a rollover vehicle accident blocked the intersection of Folsom Blvd and Ramona Ave behind Sac State.
The accident occurred just before 12:30p.m. traveling eastbound on Folsom Blvd. It is not known what caused the overturned vehicle to flip over, and then land on top on the trunk of the car in front of it.
Drivers going westbound on Folsom Blvd were being forced to turn left onto Ramona Ave, and Eastbound Folsom Blvd was closed at 69th St.
Luckily, there were no injuries. Sacramento firefighters responded but quickly cleared the scene.
The vehicle at the end that police were talking to went around the road closure, so they needed to talk with them.

Coyle Creek Commons Apartments
About 1 a.m. Sunday morning, a resident at the Coyle Creek Commons Apartments reported that a vehicle had crashed through the fence and hit a tree at the apartments, located at the 7000 block of Madison Ave.
Sac Metro firefighters responded and found the vehicle, which had went though the fence and ended up on the hill inside the complex, littering the ground and walkway with debris.
One victim had to be extricated from the wreckage and was transported to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. No other information is available at this time.

Westbound 50 between Mather Field Rd and Bradshaw Rd
Just before 12:30 a.m. Friday morning, reports came in of a vehicle accident on westbound Highway 50 just before Bradshaw Rd.
CHP reports one vehicle crashed into the center divider, and while reporting the accident, another collision occurred, leaving one vehicle in the grass on the right-hand shoulder, and another farther down on the offramp. In total, three vehicles were involved in the accident.
There were four people critically injured and transported to area hospitals, as well as two others with minor injuries.
The #1 and #2 lanes were briefly closed to traffic, but have since reopened.

Just after midnight, Sac Metro firefighters respond to reports of a garage fire in the 2500 block of Warrego Way in Rancho Cordova. Units arriving found the home well involved with fire in the garage space.
Luckily, everyone in the home was able to escape unharmed prior to first responders' arrival. The fire was contained within about a half hour, but the garage sustained major damage.

Just before 1 a.m. Friday morning, a vehicle crashes into the fence between Interstate 80 and Auburn Blvd, near Howe Ave.
Sacramento firefighters and Sac PD, along with CHP arrive to find the thrashed vehicle, on top of the downed fence, facing the freeway. At first, the driver appeared to have fled the scene. A few minutes later, the female driver is located and a field sobriety test is performed. The driver was cleared and the car towed away from the crash site.

4900 Rimmwood Drive

Just before 2:45 Monday, Sacramento Metro Fire crews were dispatched to reports of a structure fire in the 4900 block of Rimwood Drive in Fair Oaks.
A large column of smoke was observed miles from the incident.
As crews arrived the found a single story residence with heavy fire coming, primarily from the left side of the residence and threatening the adjacent residence.
Fire crews made an aggressive attack, pushing attack lines through the window, attack lines protecting the adjacent structure and getting a shake roof fire under control.
According to bystanders, deputies from the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office rescued five dogs from the home.

Firefighters just finished putting out a vehicle that caught fire in a parking lot of an apartment complex near Bell Street and Auburn Blvd. Reports started coming in just after 3 a.m. Wednesday morning. When they arrived they found the vehicle, mostly involved in fire. Firefighters worked to get the fire out in a few quick minutes before spreading to nearby cars in the lot.
Sheriff deputies also arrived on scene to help investigate the cause of the fire. At this time the cause is not known, but the circumstances are deemed suspicious.

Early Sunday morning, Sac PD arrested a woman after she led officers on a lengthy pursuit throughout much of Downtown Sacramento, eventually ending on South Land Park Drive, south of Sutterville Road.
The suspect drove the vehicle she was in through a POD at I and 3rd Streets, which alerted officers that the vehicle was reported stolen. The vehicle was confirmed stolen out of the North Sacramento area. An officer then attempted to conduct a traffic stop along Front Street in Old Sacramento, but the driver took off.
She sped across Tower Bridge, into West Sac, and eventually came back across the bridge into downtown. Speeding through red lights and stop signs, the chase eventually came to end in South Land Park after about 20 minutes.

Sac PD and Sac Fire were at the scene of a vehicle that crashed into a light rail pole on Del Paso Blvd near Highway 160. One person was trapped in the vehicle, with extrication underway.
While there was no light rail service at the time, light rail was advised to stop any train movement in the area.
The driver was successfully extricated from the vehicle and was transported to the hospital.

About 3:25 Wednesday morning, an officer witnessed a traffic accident at the intersection of Madison and Hillsdale. He observed one of the vehicles about to leave the scene and followed behind, asking for more units in case of a possible pursuit.
The red van involved fled northbound on Hillsdale Blvd, but ended up stopping after turning right onto Palm Ave. More officers arrived to help, and the hit-and-run driver was taken into custody without further incident.
Firefighters arrived on the accident scene to treat possible victims of the crash, and fortunately no one had to be taken to the hospital.

- Just before 11 p.m. Thursday, a caller advised that someone had crashed their car into his house in the 4000 block of Chapel Way in North Highlands.
Once firefighters arrived they located the vehicle sitting on the lawn, right up against the home. The vehicle had knocked over the street sign and caused moderate damage to the home.
The driver of the vehicle had fled the scene. Officers from the California Highway Patrol conducted an area search, but were unable to locate the subject.
The male occupant of the home was not injured in the crash.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.

- A bank robbery occurred Tuesday afternoon, at the Citi Bank, on Alhambra, in East Sacramento.
"Today at around 11:45 a.m. officers responded to the 1100 block of Alhambra Boulevard regarding a robbery that had occurred at a bank," said Officer Karl Chan, Spokesperson for the Sacramento Police Department. "Officers arrived on scene and determined that a male suspect entered the bank and demanded money. The suspect then fled the scene with an undetermined amount of money. There were no injuries to any patrons or employees. Detectives responded to the scene and are taking over the investigation. The FBI has been notified as is protocol with all bank robberies."

On January 19, 2020 at approximately 12:35 am, The California Highway Patrol (CHP) received a call of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision on Walerga Road southbound, just south of Elverta Road.
CHP officers responded to the collision scene and learned that a 65-year old male out of Sacramento, was walking in a westerly direction through southbound lanes of traffic and was struck by a 1999 Toyota Corolla traveling southbound on Walerga Road.
Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department (SMFD) personnel arrived at the scene of the collision and pronounced the 65-year old male deceased at 12:44 am.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla (25-year old male out of Rocklin) remained on scene, cooperated with investigating officers, and was subsequently arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol at 1:14 am.

- Around 10 p.m. Tuesday, Sheriff's deputies reported to a report of a stabbing near the Wells Fargo on Stockton Blvd near Florin Road.
Deputies arrived and located an adult male suffering from at least one stab wound. He was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
An adult female at the scene sustained a non-life-threatening stab wound to the lower body.
The suspect is a known transient in the area and was arrested without incident.

- On Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at approximately 3:44 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the 6700 block of Calvine Road regarding a welfare check. When officers arrived on scene, they located a female adult victim who had been fatally stabbed.
Officers immediately began an investigation into the incident and were able to identify a suspect in the case, later identified to the public as 44-year-old Asghar Ehsan. Ehsan was known to the victim.
At approximately 6:30 p.m., the Roseville Police Department received an alert to be on the lookout for Ehsan. Sacramento detectives advised that Ehsan was considered armed, and gave Roseville officers a description of Ehsan's vehicle.

This morning, January 12, at approximately 1:30 am, units responded to a solo vehicle fatality collision in the vicinity of Madison Ave. and Main Ave. in Orangevale. Investigators determined there were five occupants in the vehicle, three of the occupants were transported to local hospitals with minor to moderate injuries, one occupant succumbed to his injuries at the scene, and one occupant fled the scene. We are asking for the public's help in locating Brandon Douglas Langsjoen of Fair Oaks. Langsjoen is a person of interest at this time and investigators would like to speak with him. - The Sacramento Police Department is investigating after multiple people were shot in North Sacramento late Sunday night.
The shooting happened around 11:15 p.m. on the 3100 block of Crandell Avenue near Sonoma Avenue in the South Hagginwood neighborhood.
According to police radio traffic, at least three victims with possible gunshot wounds were located at a home on Crandell Avenue.
A search for the suspect is currently underway. At this time, no suspect information has been released.
