34 Street at Freedom Park Drive

At approximately 3:00 a.m. Sacramento County Deputies responded to 34th Street and Freedom Park Drive for reports of a person standing in front of an apartment yelling they were bleeding out. The caller called back and reported the person was no longer on scene.
Sherriff Deputies arrived on scene, which was in the 6000 block of 34th St. Sheriff's Deputies started searching the area, when other deputies located the victim, in a motor home, near the North McClellan Business Park on Freedom Park Drive about a block away from the original scene.
Deputies rendered first aide until Sacramento Metro Fire arrived and transported the victim to a local trauma center.
According to radio reports the victim had suffered multiple stab wounds to the body and also had several wounds to the head after being hit with rocks.

At 1:54 a.m. Sacramento Metro Fire responded to a Commercial Structure Fire located at the corner of 32nd Street and Elkhorn Boulevard in North Highlands.
Per radio traffic fire officials took a defensive stance on battling the well involved fire of a salvage yard.
Battalion Chief Charles Jenkins talks about how Sacramento Metro Fire used two deck guns pumping a thousand gallons a minute each to gain a quick knock down of the fire and then started the fire attack with hose lays to put out hot spots on the fire.
There were no injuries because of the fire.
According to Chief Jenkins the cause seems suspicious and origin of the fire is under investigation.

At 0959 a.m. on Tuesday October 20, 2020, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received several calls from citizens on the 7400 block of Watt Avenue in North Sacramento regarding shots being fired. Callers stated a vehicle in the parking lot was the subject of gun fire.
Deputies arrived on scene and saw an adult male subject slumped over in the driver’s seat of a vehicle. Fire arrived immediately after the discovery and pronounced the subject deceased.
Homicide detectives are investigating and witness interviews are still being conducted. No suspect information is available.
The identity of the victim in this case will be released by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office after identification and notification of next of kin.

- Just before noon Tuesday, Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District crews were dispatched to reports of a vegetation fire burning behind homes on 34th Street, between Q Street and Elkhorn in North Highlands.
With a visible column of smoke from a distance, crews arrived to find about an acre on fire to the rear of some homes. After crews were able to gain access to a long driveway that was adjacent to the burning acreage, they were able to get a quick wrap on the blaze and stop forward progress.
Homeowners were out with water hoses doing what they could to help keep the flames in check as best as possible prior to the fire departments arrival.
No homes were damaged, nor injuries reported in blaze. Crews were on scene nearly an hour and a half with extensive mop-up.

The #HogFire has been burning in Lassen County since the afternoon of July 18. It is located in the Hog Flat Reservoir along Highway 36, near Highway 44, west of Susanville.
According to Cal Fire, the fire is currently 8,000 acres with 5% containment.
The Lake Forest Estates along Eagle Lake Rd are under a mandatory evacuation, as well as homes near River Bench Rd, south of Highway 36. As far as we know, no homes have been damaged in this fire.

At 4:20 Sunday evening, with area temps nearing triple digits, crews from the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District were dispatched to reports of a vegetation fire in the area of 26th Street and I Street in Rio Linda.
When crews arrived, they found a small vegetation fire burning on McClellan Airport side of the fence of 26th Street; which is the western perimeter of the airfield.
With access issues, crews battled the blaze as it began to spread and slowly burn eastward toward the runway.
Metro's Copter 2 kept the blaze in check as crews worked around and gained access to the airfield from the north end of the airfield.
The fire was extinguished and mopped up a short time later.

When officers arrived, they discovered that a shooting incident had occurred, with one subject suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, according to police radio traffic. They also found a vehicle crashed into a pole and partially up the pole.

Fiddyment Rd and Athens Ave
Today the CalFire Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit participated in a controlled burn along Fiddyment Rd near Athens Ave in Placer county.
This is an annual controlled burn in this area, designed to train hand crews and dozers for the wildfire season that is already starting in California.
Crews burned approximately 110 acres of grass in the field, on the west side of Fiddyment Rd.
The burn, originally scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, was moved to Friday because of Red Flag conditions in the area.
There were no firefighter injuries and the training was concluded by about 2 p.m.

At about 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning, California Highway Patrol and Sac Metro Fire responded to reports of a vehicle that had hit a building.
Once arriving on scene, they found two vehicles were involved, one blocking southbound Munroe St and the other in the bushes in front of On The Y.
We are able to confirm that surprisingly, there were only minor injures according to CHP. One victim was seen limping but declined being taken to the hospital.

At 2:21 a.m., CHP received a dispatch for a single vehicle spin out on south bound highway 99 north of Elkhorn Blvd in North Natomas.
At 2:23 a.m., CHP received an additional dispatch for a two-vehicle collision at the same location. Upon arrival, Both CHP and Fire were initially unable to locate the accident due to the accident being dispatched incorrectly; the location of the accident was south of Elkhorn. Officers were quickly alerted of a critically injured person next to the vehicle and started life saving measures. Until Sacramento Fire and Paramedics arrived on scene and took over operations. At 11:25 p.m., Sacramento Metro Fire and Sacramento Sheriff's Officers were dispatched to 68th Avenue and Della Circle, in South Sacramento, for reports of multiple shots fired.
According to radio reports there were eight to nine shots fired. Later radio reports updated five total patients with various levels of trauma.
Upon arrival, Sacramento Sheriff's Officers found five total victims and declared the scene safe for Fire to enter. First Responders upgraded the event to a Multi-Casualty Incident (MCI) due to the number of victims to be treated at the scene. Fire and EMS were dispatched from Sacramento City, Cosumnes River, and Sacramento Metro to assist with transporting the victims. According to Fire Officials, the Cosumnes River Ambulance was not needed and released from the scene.

Quail Canyon Rd
Just after 3:30 p.m. on June 6, several agencies responded to a vegetation fire near Quail Canyon Rd near Highway 179 northwest of Vacaville.
The fire quickly grew out of control due to windy conditions in the area, gusting up to 35 mph. About 7:30 p.m., CAL Fire reported the fire was 500 acres with no containment. Now, the fire is over 1,200 acres with just 5% containment.
Evacuations were issued for many locations south of Putah Creek Rd and east of Pleasants Valley Rd. It is confirmed that two structures has been destroyed, one of which is a home.
Sacramento Fire is among the agencies sent to help control the blaze.

North Bend Dr at Natomas Blvd

At 1:33 p.m., Sacramento Fire were dispatched to North Bend Dr. and Natomas Blvd., in North Natomas, for reports of a large vegetation fire.
Upon arrival Sacramento Fire found a large grass fire in a field along Natomas Blvd. Fire Officials quickly upgraded the fire response to a second alarm (2 Alarm) adding additional resources.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time, however there was large mowing tractor parked halfway in the road and on Natomas Blvd upon arrival. Investigators were on scene to investigate the cause of the fire.
Fire was dispatched a second time to this fire at approximately 4:00 p.m. for reports of visible flames. Fire responded and extinguished the flare up.

Gateway Oaks Drive at West El Camino Avenue

At approximatley, 2:00 a.m., Sacramento Fire and Police were dispatched to Gateway Oaks Drive and West El Camino Avenue, in South Natomas, for reports of a vehicle versus a pedestrian. According to radio reports a red car was seen speeding away from the scene.
Upon arrival, Sacramento Fire found one victim leaning against the wall at a gas station. First Responders stabilized their patient with a c-spine collar and transported the patient to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Sacramento Police were on scene and were conducting their investigation.

3446 La Grande Blvd

Just after 9:05 Monday night, Sacramento firefighters responded to a commercial structure fire on La Grande Blvd, which is near the intersection of Franklin Blvd and 47th Avenue.
Sacramento Fire Chief Gary Loesch explains the complexities of a 5 Alarm Commercial Structure Fire that is currently underway in South Sacramento on La Grande Blvd.
The types of businesses involved are a mattress company, a pallet company and an autobody shop. There has been lots of flying embers, which are causing spot fires in the area.
According to Chief Loesch two Firefighters have been treated at the scene and transported to a local hospital with non-life threating injuries.
There are more than 200 firefighters on scene and 65 fire apparatus from all over the county.

Just before 7 p.m., Sac Metro Fire responded to reports of a vehicle that had crashed into a pole and rolled over along Roseville Rd, between Antelope Rd and Tupelo Dr.
The car appeared to have also run over some bushes, and brought down nearby tree branches.
According to California Highway Patrol, all occupants were able to get out of the vehicle prior to firefighters arriving on scene.
Firefighters were able to clear the scene quickly, and CHP remained until the tow truck could remove the vehicle.
Traffic was able to remain open along both directions of Roseville Rd.
The cause of the crash is not immediately known. There is no other information available at this time.

Just after midnight, Sac Metro Fire was alerted of a vehicle accident with one victim trapped along Stephen Drive, near Cornelia Way in North Highlands.
When firefighters got to the scene, they started attempting to extricate the person from the car. After a few minutes, the victim was freed and taken to a local hospital for his injuries, which appeared to be minor to moderate.
A neighbor tells PSN she heard the crash and claims her camera caught the van speeding prior to the crash. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.

About 12:15 a.m., Citrus Heights PD and Sac Metro Fire responded to reports of a vehicle into a pole with one person trapped along Dewey Dr, just south of Greenback Ln.
Upon arrival they located the victim in the car, unable to get out of the vehicle herself. All other occupants were able to escape without major injuries.
After some time, the patient was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Mercy San Juan, in unknown condition.

About 1:45 a.m., Friday morning, California Highway Patrol notified Sacramento Fire about a fire in the brush along eastbound Interstate 80, just after Norwood Ave.
Upon arrival, they located a fire that was pushing up the slope towards the freeway. Smoke was also being thrown over the freeway, making for difficult driving conditions.
CHP cleared the scene and firefighters stopped the flames from making any more progress.

Rio Linda Blvd at Marysville Blvd

At 1:30 a.m., Sacramento County Sheriff's were attempting to pull over a vehicle near Tresler Ave, in North Highlands. A red Honda sped away leading both Sacramento County Sheriff's and Sacramento Police on a high speed pursuit, often in excess of 100 mph, down Myrtle Ave to Longview, crossing over the railroad tracks on El Camino and up Rio Linda Blvd.
At one point officers called off the pursuit due to the reckless driving of the suspects. The car was involved in a rollover accident north of Marysville Boulevard on Rio Linda Boulevard.
A civilian witnessed the car rolling over, but by the time he got to the vehicle, the suspects had fled the area. Two people were detained north of the accident, almost a half mile away.
Nobody was seriously injured in the accident and no further details are available at this time.

At 1:21 a.m., Sacramento Metro Fire and CHP were dispatched to Bell Street and Marconi Avenue, in the Arden-Arcade neighborhood, for a two vehicle accident with injuries.
Upon arrival, Metro Fire found two vehicles had collided at a high rate of speed. Sending one of the vehicles through a light pole, a fence and into a front yard. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.
Two patients were transported to local hospitals with unknown injuries. Both drivers stayed on scene. It is unknown if alcohol may have played a factor in the accident.

2500 Darwin St

Just before midnight, Sacramento police officers reported to firefighters that there was a possible structure on fire near Howe Ave.
When Sacramento firefighters arrived, they discovered a fire to the rear of 2581 Howe Ave, near the Parkview Village Apartments, but realized they would need to access it from the other side on Darwin St.
The fire was threatening a nearby R.V., and possibly the Church of Christ on Darwin St. Firefighters accessed the fire, and put it out before it could spread any further. Only the fence, some trees, and pile of debris was damaged in the fire.
This fire is currently under investigation with the help of Sac PD as arson is suspected to be the cause.

Jessie Ave and Norwood Ave

About 1:20 p.m., Sac PD and Sacramento Fire were dispatched to reports of a vehicle accident on Jessie Ave near Norwood Ave.
Police say a driver was attempting to rob the driver of the hummer and while trying to get away, ended up crashing. The attempted robbery driver took off, and it is unknown if were found or not.
Surprisingly, there were only minor injuries in this accident, and firefighters were able to clear the scene quickly.
SMUD was also requested because part of a power pole was impacted. Power needed to be turned off before tow could remove the vehicles in case they fell.
Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) arrived to the scene to get pictures of the scene and conduct their investigation as well.

8th at Riverside

At 1:45 p.m., Sacramento Police and an Air Unit were dispatched to 16th and W street for a report of a stolen vehicle.
The Air Unit quickly identified the stolen grey Toyota Rav 4 and started to follow it while ground units were enroute. Once sufficient ground units were in place, police conducted a felony stop at 8th and Riverside. Four juveniles were detained and the vehicle was recovered without further incident.
A PSN Tactical Journalists was in the area at the time of the incident and captured the the entire felony stop on video.

15th Street Off Ramp at X Street

At 2:36 a.m., The Sacramento Fire Department were dispateched to the 15th Street Offramp at X Street, in the Landpark neighborhood, for report of a driver not moving in a running vehicle.
Accoridng to radio traffic, driver had been asleep at the wheel for at least ten minutes. Upon arrival, Firefighters found a driver passed out in a green vehicle on the offramp of East Bound Highway 50. Firefighters, cautiously woke up the person in the vehicle and got him to get out of the vehicle.
CHP arrived on scene and removed the vehicle from the roadway and proceeded to conduct a Field Sobriety Test on the driver. CHP subsquently arrested the driver for DUI.

At 5 p.m., Sacramento Fire was advised of a vehicle rollover accident where business 80 and highway 160 connect. After arriving in the area it took a few minutes to locate, but eventually they found the vehicle, upside down, near the parking lot of a business complex off Tribute Rd.
Workers at the complex heard the occupants asking for help, and they ran over and brought them into the closest building, out of the rain.
