- Friday evening, just before 11 p.m., Sacramento Police Officers attempted to make and enforcement stop on a vehicle in the area of Sunbeam Avenue and 12th Streets. According to police radio traffic, the vehicle took off on the officers, leading them on a pursuit.
Stop sticks and PIT Maneuvers (The PIT maneuver or TVI is a pursuit tactic by which a pursuing car can force a fleeing car to turn sideways abruptly, causing the driver to lose control and stop.) were used, when traffic wasn't an issue, in an effort to stop the vehicle. A successful PIT maneuver was executed at 12th and F, causing the vehicle to spin around and stop.
A felony stop was initiated, however, the solo occupant was not compliant.
Stop sticks were deployed behind the vehicle, in the event the subject attempted to back away.
The Sacramento Police Department engaged the subject with negotiators via phone and gave commands over the PA, however the subject remained ...

Sacramento Police and Sacramento Fire were on scene of a vehicle rollover along Raley Blvd near Bell Ave.
Upon arrival, fire crews couldn't locate anyone inside, and cleared the scene.

- Right now, according to law enforcement radio traffic, the Sacramento Police Department is on scene in the area of Martin Luther King Blvd. and 23rd Avenue, after reports of a subject being injured following an explosion.
At 8:37 p.m. Saturday, fire and medical crews were dispatched for reports of a person injured when half of a stick of dynamite detonated. [unconfirmed] PSN team members then heard radio traffic that intel was received that the subject may have more explosives in a trailer at the residence.
Presently, the area has been shut off and there have been some evacuations, according to radio reports.

Just after 1 a.m. Friday, Sacramento Metro Fire crews were dispatched to reports of a residential structure fire. When initial crews arrived, they found heavy fire coming from the front of the home with multiple vehicles on fire.
Everyone got out of the home safely, however were displaced due to the blaze. Red Cross responded for support and assistance for four adults, according to fire radio traffic.

Today, the Sacramento Sheriff's Office held its funeral and procession for fallen deputy Adam Gibson. Gibson and a K-9 officer were both killed following a pursuit and officer-involved shooting on Cal Expo grounds on January 18, 2021. Several agencies showed up to show support for Gibson, his family and the department. The Sacramento Sheriff's Office had three officer-involved shootings in January resulting in two deaths and two injuries.

- Sideshow activity was occurring all over Sacramento Saturday. This crew shut down Highway 50 at the interstate 5 transition while they engaged in their reckless driving activity. CHP's helicopter caught the whole thing on video and followed the instigators while guiding incoming patrol officers into them. A felony stop was executed on Martin Luther King Blvd. at Fruitridge Road. The four occupants of the pickup truck were compliant and taken into custody without incident. A black mustang with a gray hood was also engaged in the same sideshow activity, surveilled by the helicopter and captured as well. Later another crew engaged in the same activity at Madison and Date, with over 40 citations issued.

Winding Way and Rampart Drive
Sacramento Sheriff and Sacramento Police responded to an officer involved shooting near Winding Way and Rampart Drive in Carmichael tonight.
Fellow officers rushed the injured officer to Mercy San Juan. One suspect was shot and killed, but at least one more suspect remained outstanding.
The SWAT team was called in to assist with locating any additional suspects and air units searched from above.
While responding to the officer involved shooting in Carmichael, a Sacramento Sheriff deputy crashed their vehicle at the intersection of College Oak and Winding Way.
The involved deputy was not injured, and it is not known what caused the collision.
California Highway Patrol closed one lane of Winding Way while waiting for the damaged Sheriff vehicle to be towed away.

Harrison St and Renick Way

Around 8:30 p.m., Sacramento Sheriff and Twin Rivers Police responded to a reported shooting near Harrison St and Renick Way in North Highlands.
Two people were reported to be shot, one in the chest. Unfortunately, one person died from their injuries, and the other in critical condition.
Several people showed up to the scene following the incident, with many cars lined up along Madison Ave, most likely family and friends of those involved. There were still people hanging around the scene for hours after the shooting.
The suspects in this shooting are on the loose, unknown if police have any leads or motive.

About 12:45 a.m., California Highway Patrol and Sac Metro Fire responded to a fire hydrant that had broken, sending water an estimated 40 feet into the air along Auberry Drive in Sacramento.
CHP says they looked around the area for any vehicles with signs of damage, but didn't see any. It is unknown what caused the hydrant to break.
Traffic was not impacted, CHP just had its lights on to warn drivers of the hazard ahead of them.
The City of Sacramento came to shut off the water so CHP could investigate the incident.

At about 11:45 p.m., Sacramento Metro Fire and California Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle accident with rollover along Fair Oaks Blvd at Marconi Ave in Carmichael.
When they arrived they found a truck on its side, and everyone involved was out of the vehicle. Fire personnel were able to clear quickly once it was determined there were no injuries.
Northbound Fair Oaks Blvd was closed to traffic starting at the intersection until the vehicle could be removed from the roadway.
The driver was given a field sobriety test but it appeared he was not arrested.

After 5 p.m., Sacramento County Sheriff responded to a reported shooting near McClellan Ave and Generals Place at the Ridge At McClellan apartments.
According to radio traffic, there are two victims shot at this time. Both are said to have non-life threatening injuries.
A second crime scene is established at the Power Market along A St. Unknown if the two scenes are connected.

- At 8:55 p.m. Sacramento Police entered into a pursuit of a white pickup near 65th and Folsom Blvd. The suspect lead officers on a high-speed pursuit often exceeding 80 mph down Folsom Blvd.
The suspect led officers on a foot pursuit near 33rd and fled from officers by jumping several fences. Per radio traffic, officers reported the suspect yelling that he had a gun. Sacramento Police established a large perimeter and brought in two air units and a drone to assist in locating the suspect.
Police received a tip from a citizen that the suspect was under a tarp in the backyard of a residence.
Air units confirmed there was movement and a heat signature coming from the location. Sac PD formed a contact team and started making announcements.
The suspect started running around the backyard looking for away out but found officers on all corners of the residence. The suspect surrendered to police without further incident.

Just before 2:30 p.m., Sacramento Police and Sacramento Fire responded to a vehicle accident at the Regency Cove Apartments along Gloria Drive in Sacramento.
Upon arrival, they found a vehicle had somehow crashed through the fence and ended up fully submerged in the community pool.
The female driver of the vehicle was able to escape unharmed, but witnesses say she appeared very intoxicated.
One witness stated the vehicle almost hit another vehicle driving through the complex, but it managed to avoid the collision.
Sacramento Police arrested the driver for DUI and she may even face charges from the complex for property damage.
The vehicle was eventually able to be towed from the pool, leaving the mess behind.

Roseville Galleria near JC Penny

Around 11:30 p.m., Roseville Police were alerted to a possible stabbing at the Galleria, at the parking garages near JC Penny.
Upon arrival, they found a few people near a parked vehicle in a possible altercation. Police did locate one female with a knife and she was detained.
Luckily, it does not appear anyone was actually stabbed, but a knife was brandished and the subject threatened to stab people during an argument in the parking lot.
The relationship between the people in the group is not known or what the initial argument was about.

Homicide detectives are currently investigating following a shooting outside a liquor store along Folsom Blvd in Sacramento.
One person was taken to the hospital and succumbed to their injuries.
Two people started arguing inside of the liquor store, eventually going outside where shots were fired by both parties. It is unknown if the other person was hit, but they did manage to get away before polices' arrival.
Additionally, a Sacramento County Sheriff deputy was responding to the shooting when they were involved in a vehicle accident near the intersection of Folsom Blvd and Manlove Rd. That deputy was taken to the hospital as a precaution for minor injuries.

Just after 9 p.m., Citrus Heights Police and Sac Metro Fire responded to a vehicle accident with rollover along Sunrise Blvd, north of Sayonara Drive in Citrus Heights.
Upon arrival, they found one vehicle on its side, and another with major damage. An additional medic was requested to the scene to assist patients.
At least two people were transported to the hospital, but their conditions are unknown.
According to CHPD, the people inside the vehicle that rolled was a family of three. The mother and child were taken to the hospital as a precaution but will be fine. The male driver was later arrested for driving under the influence.
Northbound Sunrise Blvd was closed to traffic at Sayonara Drive, and southbound lanes remained open.

4000 S Watt Ave

Just before midnight, Sac Metro Fire and California Highway Patrol responded to a vehicle accident with reportedly one person trapped in a vehicle in Rancho Cordova.
Firefighters found two vehicles, both with major damage and one person unable to get out of their vehicle. Firefighters had to cut the person from the vehicle, and they were transported to a local hospital.
One additional patient was located from the other vehicle, and a second medic unit was requested. The patient was also taken to the hospital. Both patients are expected to be okay, sustaining moderate injuries.
CHP later determined a possible third vehicle was involved in the crash, but fled the scene prior to first responders arrival. It is unknown what kind of vehicle, and if they caused the collision or not.

At about 4:30 p.m., Folsom Fire and Police responded to a vehicle accident with rollover at the intersection of Greenback Ln and Lake Natoma Drive near the Folsom and Orangevale border.
When they arrived they found a two vehicle accident, with heavy damage to one vehicle. That vehicle did roll over, but landed on its tires after the crash.
Folsom Fire declared they had four patients, and requested an additional Code 3 medic to the scene. Three of those patients turned out to have minor injuries and the additional medic was cancelled. The other patient was taken care of on scene and was not transported.
Eastbound traffic through the intersection was reduced to one lane while crews worked to handle patients and remove the vehicles.

Just before 10:30 p.m., Sacramento Metro Fire responded to a house fire along Canyon Oak Dr in Citrus Heights. While enroute, they were advised the home was well involved in fire coming from the garage.
Once on scene, firefighters found the garage, as well as two vehicles in the driveway on fire. They quickly entered the home, as they weren't sure whether or not everyone had made it out of the structure.
It was determined that everyone had made it out before fire crews arrived. A quick attack was made on the fire, and it was prevented from spreading into other areas of the home.
No one was injured in the fire, and the cause is now under investigation.

About 10:19 p.m., Sacramento Metro Fire responded to reports of a vehicle accident with rollover near the intersection of Madison Ave and Hazel Ave in Fair Oaks.
Once in the area, firefighters located a vehicle along Hazel Ave that had rolled over and landed sideways onto an electrical box near the shopping center entrance. They advised that there were power lines down, and a hydrant had been broken as well.
Fire crews quickly declared one person deceased on scene.
Northbound Hazel Ave was shut down to traffic for the hydrant break, for water flooding the roadway. Southbound Hazel was reduced to one lane as emergency vehicles were in the area.

At about 12:45 a.m., Sacramento Metro Fire responded to Roseville Rd and Whyte Ave in Antelope for reports of a vehicle on fire. Upon arrival, firefighters found an R.V., far off the roadway and on fire.
The battalion chief requested a pump and roll engine in order to make access to the fire near the train tracks. While waiting, firefighters were able to get a hoseline to the vehicle to start attacking the fire.
Fire crews work quickly to put the flames out before the fire could spread to nearby vegetation.
Nearly 20 minutes later, another vehicle fire was reported on the 5500 block of Tupelo Dr in North Highlands.
A neighbor grabbed his garden hose and attempted to put out the flames while waiting for firefighters to arrive. He says he observed someone intentionally set the vehicle on fire and flee ...

- Just before 2am Thursday, Metro Surveillance Security received reports of a disturbance at a motel in the area of Zinfandel Drive and Olson Drive. According to reports the subject was attempting force his way into a hotel room.
After being ejected from the property, the subject was witnessed assaulting two females, adjacent to the hotel, one of which was an occupant of the room he was trying to force his way into, and the other was the mother of the occupant; according to a spokesperson for Metro.
Officers from the Rancho Cordova Police Department arrived on scene to take a report. Meanwhile, officers from Metro, located and apprehended the suspect in a nearby dumpster enclosure.
The subject was turned over to the custody of Rancho Cordova Police and was transported to the main jail with multiple assault charges.
The two women were treated on scene, for their injuries related to the assault.

At 12:22 a.m. Sacramento Metro Fire responded to a medical call at Fair Oaks Boulevard and Marconi Avenue in Carmichael.
Upon arrival Firefighters found an unresponsive male sitting in a car at the stop light. Metro Fire woke the victim up, determined there was not a medical need, however they suspected the victim may be under the influence and requested CHP to respond for a DUI Evaluation.
Upon CHP’s arrival they helped the victim / suspect out of the vehicle and started the evaluation. The suspect fully cooperated with officers and admitted to taking a controlled substance and drinking in the hours before operating the vehicle. CHP Officers determined the suspect was indeed under the influence and was subsequently arrested.

At 1:03 a.m. Sacramento Metro Fire responded to a Vegetation Fire at 6990 Watt Avenue in North Highlands.
Sacramento County Sheriff’s Deputies contacted fire dispatch for a fire near the road at 6990 Watt Avenue. The Deputies were attempting to put it our but requested code three fire due to the proximity of an adjacent building. Upon arrival firefighters found a small quarter acre grass fire and worked quickly to get a knock on the forward progress.

Northgate Blvd. and Northfield Dr.

At approximately 12:15 a.m. Sacramento Police were dispatched to Northgate Boulevard and Northfield Drive in South Natomas for reports of a person on a roof of a commercial business.
When officers arrived on scene they could not verify if there was indeed a person on the roof and called for air support. The Air Unit arrived on scene and verified there was a person under an air conditioner unit. The Air Unit made several announcements for the subject to come out with no avail.
Officers used a ladder to gain access to the roof and made contact with the subject who still refused to come out from under the air conditioner unit. Eventually the person was able to self-extricate from under the AC unit but was highly agitated at officers.
Officers requested Fire to assist with getting the subject off the roof. Engine 15 arrived on scene and...

Just after 3pm Thursday, a large fire broke out at SIMS Metal Mangement scrap yard on North B Street. In this live video, PSN Tactical Photojournalists were a couple of blocks away from the blaze when it erupted and were on scene before fire crews were dispatched. In this video you will see the fire engulf a large portion of the towering scrap metal pile, fire crews lay supply hose lines, master stream operations, arial truck operations, explosions and more.
All fire crews were cleared from the incident just before 7pm, arson investigators also cleared and the property was turned back over to the responsible party, according to fire radio traffic.

1200 El Camino Ave

At approximately 10:38 p.m. Sacramento Fire Department was dispatched to the 1200 block of El Camino Avenue in Old North Sacramento for a reported structure fire.
Upon arrival Firefighters found a well involved motorhome fire and initiated fire attack. The fire was quickly knocked down. No other structures were involved, and the occupants of the motorhome were not at home at the time of the fire.
Fire Investigators are investigating to determine the cause of the fire.
