- Just before 3 a.m. Wednesday, Sacramento Fire Department's Engine 6 responded to reports of a vehicle on fire in the 3800 block of 17th Avenue, in the Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento.
While in route, Engine 6 received an update that a fence may also be involved.
When Engine 6's fire crew arrived, they found a well involved vehciel fire in the alley way, adjacent to a fence and a house.
The crew qucikly extinguished the blaze; the owner did not remain on scene and a check of the vehicle's plate revealed that the vehicle was not reported stolen and everything was current and clear.
The fence was slightly burned and there was no damage to the home. No one was in the vehicle and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigatoin.

A red flag warning went into effect for a large portion of northern California on Sunday. Several grass fires were reported in the Sacramento area.
This fire started in a junkyard along Florin Perkins Rd near Belvedere Ave, and strong winds caused it to spread into the grass nearby.
The fire quickly reached a third alarm with resources coming from Sacramento Fire, Cosumnes Fire, and Wilton Fire.
The acreage is not known at this time but according to radio traffic, firefighters estimated the mop up to take about 12 hours.

"I WAS DRIVING ALONG HIGHWAY 80 EASTBOUND, WHEN I SAW A HEAVY AMOUNT OF SMOKE COMING FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF RALEY BLVD. I NOTICED THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS NOT IN THE AREA AND NOTICED NO LAW ENFORCEMENT AS WELL. I BEGAN TO MAKE MY APPROACH TO THE INTERSECTION OF RALEY AND NORTH AVE, WHEN I SAW A HOUSE FULLY ENGUFLED IN FLAMES.

About 12:40 a.m., Sacramento Police and Sacramento Fire responded to a vehicle accident with injuries along Eleanor Ave in Sacramento.
Upon arrival they couldn't find anyone in the vehicle and received reports that the driver had fled the scene.
According to radio traffic, the subject also had a gun on him when he fled the vehicle.
He was spotted a few blocks away but police were unable to locate him.
Someone later reported that the subject had ditched an item that looked like a gun in their front yard but police have not confirmed.

- Just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday, crews from the Sacramento Fire and Sacramento Police Departments were called to the scene of a vehicle rollover accident that occurred on the narrow roadway of 24th Street, just north of W Street, in the Midtown area of Sacramento.
When Engine 4 arrived on scene, they encountered a solo vehicle on it's side in the middle of the roadway. The driver, who appeared unharmed and standing; was trying to figure out how to get out of the vehicle.
As firefighters navigated him to the rear of the vehicle, he was able to exit through the rear tailgate with no need of extrication.
As the fire crews departed, the driver underwent a field sobriety test (FST), and breath test; after which he was place in handcuffs and transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail.
There were no injuries in this incident, and one other vehicle sustained light damage and was pushed up on the curb.

Earlier today, Sacramento Police and Fire responded to a vehicle accident along Folsom Blvd near Highway 16.
Initial reports were that someone was trapped in a vehicle, but they were able to get out before crews got there.
One vehicle rolled over, ending up on its roof and another had major damage.
Surprisingly, no one was seriously injured and police stayed to take reports, and until the vehicles could be cleared from the roadway.

- Homicide Investigation – 2100 Block of L St
On April 22, 2021 at approximately 1:02 a.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 2100 block of L St regarding a report of someone who had been shot. When officers arrived on scene, they located two adult male victims who each sustained at least one gunshot wound. Both victims were transported to a local hospital where one victim succumbed to his injuries. The second victim is expected to survive.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators have responded to take over the investigation. At this time the motive is unknown, however detectives do believe that there was some type of altercation prior to the shooting. Detectives will be conducting a canvass of the area for witnesses and evidence. There is no suspect information to provide at this time.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next of kin have been notified.

- Several shots rang out between vehicles Wednesday afternoon, according to police radio traffic, at the busy corner of 34th and Broadway in Oak Park, with many people milling about.
Two vehicles were shooting between each other then fled in opposite directions, according to reports.
As officers arrived to investigate and control the scene, a report came in that a shooting victim arrived in a personal vehicle at UC Davis Medical Center, according to radio traffic.
UC Davis Police taped off the area around the vehicle, which remained at the Emergency Department entrance of the hospital.
CSI responded to both scenes to document and collect evidence.

Right now, Roseville Police are searching for an armed suspect following a pursuit.
Citrus Heights Police, Placer County Sheriff, Sacramento County Sheriff, and California Highway Patrol are also on scene assisting.
The suspect crashed his vehicle along Riverside Ave near Interstate 80 and then ran on foot.
According to radio traffic, he was seen shortly after along Melody Ln holding a rifle.
According to police on scene, he also shot at officers sometime during the incident. Unknown if this was before or during the chase.
All onramps and offramps at the Auburn Blvd/Riverside Ave exit are closed.
Several streets off Vernon St near Cresthaven Park are also closed while police search for the suspect.

Power Inn Rd and Lenhart Rd
Right around 10 p.m., Sacramento Sheriff deputies attempted to pull a vehicle over in South Sacramento but the vehicle did not stop and a pursuit ensued.
The vehicle had a target inside that was known to deputies, and two other occupants.
The chase ended at Power Inn Rd and Lenhart Rd when the vehicle crashed while attempting a turn.
All three subjects ran on foot, and deputies established a perimeter in order to locate them.
Two of the suspects were quickly detained and Elk Grove Police were called to use their drone to possibly find the third.
During this time, deputies also conducted a felony stop on another vehicle leaving the area.
The vehicle yielded and two people were detained. Unknown how or if this stop was related to the pursuit.

Crews are clearing the scene after a major vehicle accident at an Elk Grove intersection.
The crash occurred just after 9 p.m., when a driver ran a red light, slammed into another vehicle, and rolled over.
The vehicle that was hit had a 3-year-old inside, along with the driver. Both were taken to the hospital for their injuries.
The driver at fault was also taken to the hospital. According to police, none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.
One person also needed to be extricated from the vehicle, unknown which of the three people this was.
Several road closures are in place during this time, but should be cleared up shortly.

- EGPD investigated a vehicle vs motorcycle collision on Willard Pkwy at Blossom Ridge Way. Witnesses told PSN the rider ran a red light and was hit by a vehicle that had a green light. Witnesses say the motorcyclist went airborne and landed a short distance away on their head, and was not wearing a helmet. The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to Kaiser South. The driver of the other involved vehicle stayed on scene and cooperated with traffic investigators. The northbound lanes were completely closed, while 1 lane of southbound was closed. An investigation is underway after a tow truck operator was hit-and-killed by a vehicle on a Sacramento freeway overnight.
The crash happened around 11:40 PM on northbound Interstate 5 near Seamas Avenue.
According to a CHP official, the tow truck operator was in the process of hooking up a disabled vehicle on the right shoulder. It’s believed the operator was on the left side of the tow truck when he was struck by a passing vehicle. The tow truck operator sustained fatal injuries.
CHP says the driver stayed on scene. After an investigation, the driver was placed into custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The driver was taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital to be medically cleared.
All northbound lanes were closed while CHP conducted their investigation, and were reopened after the scene was cleared of debris and vehicles.

At approximately 2:12 p.m. on Monday April 12, 2021, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call from a resident on the 5700 block of Dewey Boulevard in South Sacramento stating a bullet came through the wall of their house but no one was hit and there were no injuries. An additional caller from the same block requested medical help for a male subject who appeared to have a gunshot wound.
Deputies responded to the location and found an adult male victim with multiple gunshot wounds to his body. Deputies started life saving measures. Fire arrived moments later and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

Sacramento Fire and Sacramento Police responded to a vehicle accident along La Riviera Dr near Gatehouse Ct in Sacramento.
Several vehicles had been involved in the accident, with up to six vehicles having some sort of damage.
According to one car owner, the white Lexus was driving along the road when it crashed into several parked cars, sending debris all over the roadway.
Amazingly, no one was seriously injured nor was anyone transported to the hospital.
The driver was given a field sobriety test and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

- Sacramento police are investigating after three people were shot, one fatally in a shooting that took place in the Old North Sacramento area Thursday night.
Around 9:46 p.m., officers responded to the 2000 block of Del Paso Blvd after callers reported hearing gunshots in the area. When officers arrived, they found two adult male victims and one 17-year-old juvenile who had been shot. One of the adult male victims had at least one life-threatening gunshot wound. Paramedics arrived and declared that victim deceased at the scene. The two other males had non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals.
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation. Police have limited information to release at this point, but do say the incident appears isolated. There is no suspect information to release at this time.

- A pursuit from Roseville ended at a South Sacramento gas station early Tuesday morning.
Around midnight, CHP units were advised about a vehicle that Roseville Police Department was following on westbound Interstate 80.
CHP North Sacramento units took over following when the vehicle crossed into Sacramento County. The vehicle failed to yield to the officers’ lights and sirens, and a pursuit ensued. The vehicle entered southbound Business 80 and continued towards Downtown Sacramento. After reaching Highway 99, the vehicle exited at 12th Avenue and entered into a gas station on the corner of 12th Avenue and Franklin Boulevard.
The vehicle stopped, and CHP conducted a felony traffic stop. The occupant of the vehicle exited and complied with officers orders. She was then detained.

Right now California Highway Patrol and Caltrans are working an overturned big rig along northbound highway 99 at 47th ave.
The driver lost control getting onto the freeway and rolled over, also hitting another vehicle.
Both drivers only sustained minor injuries according to CHP.

Right now there is a heavy police presence along several side streets off La Mancha Way in South Sacramento.
Officers are focused on the neighborhood south of Tangerine Ave, around Audia Circle.
There is suspect with a gun and officers are trying to negotiate with him to drop it and surrender.
So far he has not been complying with their orders so the SWAT team has also responded to the scene.

At 2:32 p.m. on Sunday, March 21, 2021, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a call from a citizen near the intersection of Watt Avenue and A Street in North Sacramento stating that someone inside a vehicle had been shot.
Deputies arrived at the intersection and found a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds and began administering medical aid. Metro Fire arrived, continued CPR then transported him to a nearby hospital where medical staff later pronounced the adult male deceased.

Atlantic St and Doyle St
This afternoon, Roseville Police and SWAT were on scene of a barricaded suspect in a home along Atlantic St, between Doyle St and Thomas St in Roseville.
Atlantic St remained open to traffic, but several side streets were closed.
SWAT officers made announcements to the subject to come out of the home with his hands up several times.
Eventually, around 6:15 p.m., the suspect came out and was taken into custody.
Officers cleared the home and did not find any weapons. No one else was inside the home.
The reason for the original call is not known, but people that live nearby say this isn't the first time police have been called to the home.

- Just before 5:30 Tuesday morning, Security Officers from Watchmen Specialty Protection, came upon a well involved motorhome fire on Lathrop Way and Commerce Circle in the Expo area. Watchmen officers made sure no one was in the RV and got fire crews started. Captain Keith Wade, spokesperson for the Sacramento Fire Department, confirmed there were no fatalities and no injuries in the incident.

- Just before 1 p.m. Saturday, crews responded to reports of a truck rolled over at Exposition and Leisure Lane. When they arrived, they found a moving truck on it's side with it's contents spilling out from the top on the roadway.
The two occupants and dog were able to get out with the assistance of a Good Samaritan and Fire.
One victim was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, according to CHP.
Jakes Towing up righted the truck and cleaned up the scene.

Sacramento Fire Crews from Stations 6 and 56 are cleaning up from an exterior fire in South Sacramento
Crews were dispatched to the 4900 block of Mascot Avenue for reports of an outbuilding fire. When crews arrived they reported that they did have a working exterior fire to an outbuilding with a fence involved.
The blaze was quickly extinguished and kept from extending into homes in close proximity.
There were no reported injuries and the cause is under investigation.

7400 block of Shelborne Dr
Just before 4 p.m., South Placer Fire, Rocklin Fire, and Roseville Fire responded to a reported attic fire at 7405 Shelborne Dr in Granite Bay.
Crews had trouble finding a nearby hydrant, resulted in delayed water resources.
Soon afterwards, units on scene called for a second alarm, and more resources began responding.
One occupant was safely able to get out on their own. There are not other injuries reported at this time.
The home has sustained major damage and will likely be a total loss.
There is no other information available at this time.

- Just after 2 p.m. Sunday, Sacramento Metro Fire crews were called to the scene of a working structure fire in the 3600 block of Jonathan Way. It was the second time in a month the home caught fire. The son of the homeowner told PSN that the first fire's cause was do to an electrical issue. The house has been vacant and fenced off since then.

- Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, the California Highway Patrol became engaged in a, "failure to yield" pursuit in the Arden Arcade area. The assailant lead the pursuit to Business 80 and headed west (south) toward Downtown Sacramento.
He exited the freeway in the Midtown area of Sacramento, and continued to lead officers through parts of Midtown, sometimes backtracking and going in the wrong direction on city one-way streets.
Eventually, the pursuit ended in front of the Sacramento County Main jail on I Street in Downtown.
The subject was compliant and taken into custody without further incident.
We heard via radio traffic that the subject was wanted out the Bay Area for Felony Evading, but we have not been able to confirm that as of the time of this posting.

Ikea Court and Reed Ave

Earlier this afternoon, West Sacramento Police responded to a subject reported to have a knife in the Walmart parking lot.
Police arrived and located the suspect in his vehicle, and followed him to Ikea Court near the Arco gas station.
The suspect reportedly exited his vehicle with a weapon, and shots were fired by officers, killing the suspect.
There are very few details as this is a developing story, and there is no more information available.

- Just before 6pm Wednesday, the Sacramento Police Department and the Sacramento Fire Department responded to reports of person who fell to the ground from the upper levels of the Sacramento, City Hall Parking Garage, at I Street and 11th Street. There was uncertainty if the victim fell, jumped or was pushed, but according to police radio traffic, there was an argument and disturbance in the parking garage prior to the incident. According to radio reports, the victim was unresponsive and not breathing when transported to the hospital. We have a media request in to the Sacramento Police Department, but thus far, no response.

Yucca Way and Myrtle Ave
The Sacramento Sheriff's Office is currently looking for a suspect in the area of Yucca Way and Myrtle Ave in North Highlands.
The suspect initially failed to stop his vehicle for officers, leading to a brief pursuit. The suspect crashed his vehicle along Myrtle Ave, ran on foot and is currently hiding in the surrounding area.
Officers are making announcements for the suspect to surrender and an Air Unit is above to assist.

- At 10:30 P.M. Saturday, the Sacramento Fire Department, Sacramento Police Department and the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of an auto vs pedestrian incident at the intersection of Franklin Blvd and Martin Luther king Blvd. It was then determined to be a Motorcycle vs Pickup truck incident.
When Sacramento Police Officers arrived on scene, they reported that they had a pedestrian down in the roadway unresponsive.
Several vehicles were involved in the incident and debris stretches from MLK at Franklin, one whole block to 48th Avenue in the northbound lanes.

Coloma Rd and Folsom Blvd
Just before 8 p.m., Sacramento Metro Fire, Sacramento County Sheriff, and Rancho Cordova Police responded to a vehicle accident along Folsom Blvd near Coloma Rd.
The accident blocked both lanes of the road, so Rancho PD closed westbound Folsom Blvd at Coloma Rd.
Fire crews requested two additional medics to the scene, but ended up only using one of the additional two.
Two people were transported to the hospital, with non life-threatening injuries.

- Just before midnight Wednesday, crews from the Sacramento Fire Department were dispatched to reports of a residential structure fire in the 6400 block of Lang Avenue in the South Sacramento area. As crews were in route, reports came in of persons trapped in the blaze. When crews arrived, they found the structure well involved with fire. According to radio reports, a victim was rescued from a back corner of the home. The attic portion of the fire continued to be an issue, but was quickly contained and knocked down.
