- We have no details of how this situation originated; but about 6 P.M. Tuesday, we started picking up radio traffic with officers in the Railyards area trying to assess a situation and access for the fire department. The Sacramento Fire Department then dispatched a special rescue response to 7th and F Streets. On our arrival, fire crews were setting up truck two for technical rescue and crews were setting up ladders on a railcar. You could hear a wild-sounding male voice shouting from inside the railcar. They set up for a worst-case scenario of having to take the subject into custody in the railcar and hoist him out. After all the gear was set up and the plan in place, officers climbed ladders and went down in the rail car. The subject was compliant; climb the ladder out of the railcar and down the other ladder to waiting officers who took him into custody. Paramedics checked him out, he was then escorted to the back of a police car and taken to jail with no further issues.
