After an earlier goal was ruled out for offside, Balogun capitalized on a deflected pass inside the penalty area and tucked a low shot beneath the Bosnia goalkeeper for his tournament-leading third goal.

- Press Release Courtesy of the NCAA- It’s Boomer Sooner time in Omaha. Oklahoma has won the 2026 Men’s College World Series, steamrolling through North Carolina in the winner-take-all Game 3, 13-2, capturing its first national title in over 30 years and third overall. The Sooners are the seventh straight SEC team to win the national championship.
It was an all-around masterclass for OU, jumping out to a 3-1 lead by the end of the third and never looking back. They put at least one run across the plate in four of the final six innings, including three in the fourth and four in the eighth.
The fourth was where Oklahoma’s upper hand became clear. Walker McDuffie’s three consecutive one-out walks loaded the bases, and UNC turned to star freshman Caden Glauber. The Tar Heels were previously 29-0 with whenever he pitched, but he was pulled after a walk and Jaxon Willits’ two-RBI single.

- OMAHA, Neb. — Oklahoma catcher Dayton LeChance has become one of the Sooners' most important players during their run to the College World Series.
The journey to Omaha, however, was anything but easy.
LeChance grew up in Montreal, where French is the primary language for much of the population. When he arrived in Oklahoma to pursue college baseball, he found himself more than 2,000 miles from home while trying to navigate classes and daily life in a language he was still learning.
"There were definitely some difficult moments," LeChance said. "But I did everything I was able to do to bring me to this moment right here."
The adjustment nearly pushed him away from the game.
Away from family and facing academic challenges because of the language barrier, LeChance considered walking away from baseball altogether.
Instead, he persevered.
Now, the 6-foot-4 catcher is one of Oklahoma's leaders and one...

The two grew up in Allen, Texas, spending countless hours on baseball fields together before eventually taking different paths to college baseball's biggest stage.
Their father, Rusty Branch, has enjoyed watching the moment unfold.
"We went out and played putt-putt this morning," Rusty said. "Got to see the two younger brothers as well. It's just a great deal with your family and a great moment to recognize what a cool accomplishment this is."
The brothers' personalities differ.
Rusty describes Colby as more reserved and internal, while Kyle ...

- OMAHA, Neb. — Every successful team seems to have a unique tradition.
For Georgia baseball, that tradition comes in the form of a sour candy.
The Bulldogs have embraced a dugout ritual known as "Sour Power," a team tradition that began during a road trip to Mississippi State and has followed them all the way to the Men's College World Series.
The idea started with Georgia player Bryce Callaway during a stop at Buc-ee's while traveling to Starkville earlier this season.
Callaway bought a bag of Sour Power candy, and teammates began handing it out after hits, runs and other positive moments during games.
The Bulldogs proceeded to sweep Mississippi State on the road.
The tradition stuck.
"We went on to sweep Mississippi State, and we were rolling ever since then," Georgia outfielder Scott Newman said. "So it's stuck."
As Georgia's season continued, Sour Power became more than a snac...

The US atop of the standings though as they have a better goal differential after beating Paraguay 4-3 behind Florian Balagan’s first half brace on Friday.
There was one concern that Captain America Christian Pulisic was taken off at half time. Head Coach Mauricio Pottichanio and Pulisic himself said after the game it was precautionary as he was kicked in the calf a couple times that resulted in dead leg feeling.
They expect him to be good to go on Friday when The US play Australia in Seattle at 2 PM CT. The winner of that massive game could automatically qualify to the knock out rounds based on the result of Turkey and Paraguay later in the day.
