- The U.S. military said Friday that it shot down Iranian drones that were launched toward the Strait of Hormuz.
In a post on X, U.S. Central Command said:
"Moments ago, CENTCOM forces shot down four Iranian one-way attack drones that were launched toward the Strait of Hormuz. The attack drones posed an immediate threat to regional maritime traffic. U.S. forces subsequently struck Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites in Goruk and on Qeshm Island to defend against further attacks.
American forces remain vigilant and postured to respond to unjustified Iranian aggression in self-defense."

It appears from looking at video from the seven that several people were already in handcuffs as the active investigation was taking place. Authorities told FOX 11's crew at the scene that law enforcement officers were there to arrest people possessing or taking the drugs. Officials gave an update on Thursday, including Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman who previously confirmed federal agents will be at MacArthur Park for longer "than a day."

- Israel and Lebanon revealed Wednesday that they would extend a ceasefire agreement, with the latter creating new security zones where Hezbollah operatives would be banned. The deal came after the latest round of U.S.-mediated talks hosted by the State Department.
U.S. Central Command confirmed conducting strikes on Iranian targets on Tuesday in response to attacks by Tehran that were either thwarted by American forces and their allies or never reached their intended targets.
The U.S. military described its strikes on Qeshm Island as self-defense after Iran launched multiple ballistic missiles at targets in Kuwait and Bahrain. The missiles either did not reach their destination, fell apart en route, or were stopped by U.S. or Bahraini air defense forces. No U.S. troops were injured nor were any American assets damaged in either attack, CENTCOM stated.

- The search for a missing Michigan in the Bahamas has been reopened after authorities say her husband allegedly gave police false information.
Lynette Hooker and her husband Brian were boating in the Bahamas in early April when, according to her husband, she fell off the boat and was swept to sea. Brian told police he had to paddle to shore after Lynette fell into the water because she had the key.
Brian was taken into custody in the Bahamas after Lynette's disappearance, but was later released and returned back to Michigan.
Recently, it was revealed that new location data from Brian's cell phone contradicts the story he gave to authorities, and suggests he may have sent search crews to the wrong area. This new information has led to the U.S. Coast Guard reopening its search for Lynette.

Prosecutors say Ghomi used front companies and falsified records to evade U.S. sanctions and export controls, laundering more than $15 million into the United States and helping finance a $35 million California mansion. Coverage by FOX 11 Los Angeles.
Despite building a custom Newport Coast mansion valued at $35 million, Ghomi reported virtually no income to the IRS, maxing out at $20,684 in a single year, and even claimed the federal Earned Income Tax Credit for low-income families across seven different tax years.
