- Houston police are on the scene following a deadly shooting where officials said multiple people were killed, officials said.
According to Houston police, the shooting happened just before 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Avalon Place and Kingston Street in the River Oaks area.
Officials have confirmed four people are dead on the scene. A father, a pregnant mother, and two children, aged four and eight.
Houston police are saying the shooting is a possible murder-suicide.
Authorities said the children were last seen on Sunday night and were found in their beds.
Officials also said the mother had dinner with a relative on Sunday night.
We're told a babysitter found the victims on Monday.
Officials have not confirmed the names of the victims.

According to WHO, Hantaviruses are zoonotic viruses that naturally infect rodents, like rats and mice, but sometimes can spread to humans. When spread to humans, it can cause serious illness and infection, and even death.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Prevention and Control, most people can be infected when exposed to rodent urine, droppings, and saliva. It can also be spread through a bit or scratch, but that is considered to be rare, the CDC said.
