The new neon sign was unveiled ahead of the Blazers’ home opener on Wednesday night at Moda Center. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. on KUNP (KATU 2.2) and be sure to catch Rip City Wrap-Up directly after the game.
The new neon came with another addition at the bottom of the sign, reading "LOOK WHO'S UP" alongside the Beaverton-based Nike "Swoosh" and Morant’s signature shoe logo. The sign appears to be Nike's nod to Morant's regular season debut as a Blazer.

- Parents at Irvington Elementary say they want more answers and more time before Portland Public Schools makes any decision that could close their children's school.
District leaders are weighing a major “rightsizing” plan that could mean closing up to 14 schools and sending students elsewhere, citing declining enrollment, rising costs and the need to better align resources for students.
The proposal, announced just weeks ago, has brought growing frustration and concern from families at Irvington and across Portland. PPS says the school board will vote on closures by the end of the year and stresses that no final decisions have been made yet.

- Oregon's disaster response gaps exposed as crews train for major earthquake, tsunami

- Description
- A powerful earthquake strikes the Oregon Coast, triggering a tsunami that destroys buildings, traps residents beneath rubble and leaves entire communities cut off from emergency services.
That was the scenario facing firefighters, military personnel and rescue crews Thursday, Oct. 15, during a large-scale disaster training exercise at Camp Rilea.
But beyond the helicopter rescues and searches through collapsed structures, Oregon's state fire marshal says the exercise exposed a larger concern: The state lacks a comprehensive statewide urban search and rescue program to respond to a major structural collapse disaster.
