“They can quickly outgrow and outproduce the range’s ability to sustain those numbers. That’s when the Bureau of Land Management goes in, and we gather the excess horses or buros from overpopulated public range lands in the West, and we offer them for adoption for the public,” Tiel-Nelson said.
