Police said the victim, who was hosting the party, sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
According to investigators, the shooting occurred after a group of uninvited guests arrived at the frat house party and were asked to leave. The group became angry, and one individual retrieved a weapon from a vehicle. A physical altercation then broke out in the street between the two groups, and the suspect fired a single round into the crowd, striking the victim.

The incident happened Thursday in the 11000 block of Tanglehead Court, near Antoine Drive and North Sam Houston Parkway. Officials said Rafael Rodriguez, 73, shot his son-in-law, identified by family as Franklin Portillo, outside the home. Portillo was at the residence with his two young children. Family members stated Portillo’s wife, Rodriguez’s daughter, died two years ago.
A responding deputy shot Rodriguez, and both men went down. CPR was administered to both victims. Portillo was pronounced deceased at the scene. Rodriguez was transported to a hospital in critical condition, where he later died.

According to investigators, the crash occurred around 8:05 a.m. on August 7, 2025, in the 5700 block of Addicks Satsuma Road. Blake Struble was operating a red 2018 Honda Fury motorcycle eastbound when a westbound Chevrolet box truck driven by Joseph Dennis turned southbound into the 15500 block of Boulder Oaks Drive.
As the truck turned, the front left of the vehicle struck the left side of Struble and his motorcycle. The impact caused Struble to continue in a southeast direction and become separated from the motorcycle. He then struck a wooden fence along the south side of the roadway.
Emergency personnel with Cy-Fair EMS Unit #509 responded and found Struble with no signs of life at 8:21 a.m. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

- HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A man was shot multiple times by deputies following a family disturbance call in the 10700 block of Wolsley Court on Wednesday evening.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office responded around 7 p.m. after a woman reported fighting with her husband, stating he was armed with a gun. Deputies contacted the woman upon arrival, who told them her husband had assaulted her and was still inside the home with the weapon.
Three uniformed deputies approached the rear of the residence and encountered the suspect, identified as 66-year-old David Hinn. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Hinn failed to comply with commands and pointed his handgun at deputies, prompting all three to fire. Hinn was struck multiple times.

According to Captain Simon Cheng with the Harris County Sheriff's Office, preliminary information indicates the driver of a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee was turning left from westbound Atascocita Road onto Atascocita Bend Drive when a Yamaha motorcycle traveling eastbound at a high rate of speed struck the SUV.
Multiple witnesses confirmed the motorcycle was speeding prior to the crash.
