- HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A woman is dead and a man is hospitalized after a barricade situation at a home in northeast Harris County ended with a fatal shooting.
Deputies from Harris County Precinct 2 District responded to a call for a possible disturbance or welfare check at a residence around 11:56 p.m.
Family members at the location allowed deputies inside, where they determined that a male suspect had barricaded himself in a bedroom with a Hispanic female. For safety, deputies evacuated the family, including children, from the home.
When deputies approached the bedroom, they received no response but heard noises inside. After additional units responded, SWAT was called to the scene.

- SUGAR LAND, TX – A backseat passenger was killed and three other people were transported to hospitals after a crash at West Airport Boulevard and Burney Road.
The collision occurred around 12 a.m. when a Volvo ran a red light and T-boned another vehicle.
A passenger in the back seat of one of the vehicles was pronounced deceased. Three others were transported for medical treatment.
The Sugar Land Police Department Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the crash.

- HOUSTON, TX – A man was found deceased in a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head after a citizen flagged down an officer on routine patrol.
This happened in the 7000 block of Chasewood.
The incident occurred when the citizen alerted the officer that a male was unconscious and not breathing inside a parked vehicle. The officer located the vehicle and found an adult male in the driver’s seat who was unresponsive.
The man had sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
There are currently no known suspects. The Houston Police Department Homicide Division is investigating to determine what led up to the shooting.
