- The five suspects arrested on suspicion of terrorist-related activities at a U.S.-operated Royal Air Force (RAF) base in Fairford, England on Sunday, have been released on bail, according to the British head of counterterrorism policing.
“To be very clear, this does not mean that the investigation is over. They [the suspects] are subject to stringent conditions on their movement and contact with others. They absolutely remain under investigation, as we explore multiple lines of inquiry,” Laurence Taylor told reporters on Monday.
While the farmer who initially notified authorities of the suspicious activities near her home claims she saw “between eight and 10” men, Defence Secretary Wes Streeting said that she has only “a partial picture” of the incident.
The RAF Fairford base has been used to conduct strikes on Iran previously. The Iranian embassy in London, however, has denied the country's involvement in the suspected plot. It is ...

The woman, referred to as Jane Doe, reported the incident to Cornell police about three weeks later, and at least 12 internal hearings were held by school officials in relation to the alleged incident.
Doe’s attorney, Thomas Giuffra, says no arrests were made. The accused got what he calls a “slap on the wrist,” with only two of the men being expelled, and others receiving suspensions, workshops, or essay assignments.
“All the things in place to protect her were not there,” Giuffra said, acknowledging Cornell’s history with sexual violence, and the “failures of every single guardrail along the way.”

The return comes as a legal battle continues over journalists access to the Trump administration and questions remain about what that access will look like going forward.
Before being forced to temporarily lift the ban Thursday, the White House claimed the press restrictions were justified for national security purposes.
Global’s Reggie Cecchini has the details.

- An explosion caused a residential building to collapse in the crowded touristic centre of Athens on Friday, injuring three people and damaging houses, shops and cars across a historic neighbourhood.
It was not immediately clear what caused the blast in the two-story building in Plaka near some of Athens' most popular sites including the Acropolis and the Temple of Zeus, sending rocks and broken glass as far as three blocks away.
Police spokeswoman Constantina Dimoglidou told public broadcaster ERT that the fire brigade has not yet concluded its site inspection. Fire crews and ambulances rushed to the scene as smoke billowed above the ancient monuments.
The building where the blast took place was reduced to a mess of twisted metal, broken balconies and hanging concrete slabs.
