The Steep Canyon Rangers have been together for more than 20 years and are frequent collaborators of comedian Steve Martin, who can also play a mean banjo. The band is excited to get back to the Rocky Mountains, a place they say has always welcomed them with open arms. Singer/guitarist Aaron Burdett and bass player/singer Barrett Smith give us a look into their new album 'Morning Shift' which they will be playing songs from at Friday night's show.

- The Painted Rocks are a very unique cliff face located on the southwest corner of Flathead Lake near West Shore State Park. They have Native American pictographs painted all over the rocks, which were believed to be painted by the Salish Kootenai tribes. The team is working to create 3-D photogrammetry models of the underwater portion of the Painted Rocks. What lies underneath the Painted Rocks has never been studied before and creating a 3-D replica of the Painted Rocks above and below the water's surface would provide information for an archaeological catalog.

- The Kee-O-Mee was one of the most notable vessels of the 1920s and 1930s that crossed Flathead Lake until its demise in 1937
For nearly a decade, the Kee-O-Mee was the largest and most extravagant boat on Flathead Lake. It was the first houseboat on Flathead Lake and has been cited in some sources as the largest boat of that time. In May of 1937, the Kee-O-Mee sank after it caught fire. After decades of searches, the Kee-O-Mee was found under Somers Bay.

- The Painted Rocks are a very unique cliff face located on the southwest corner of Flathead Lake near West Shore State Park. They have Native American pictographs painted all over the rocks, which were believed to be painted by the Salish Kootenai tribes. The team is working to create 3-D photogrammetry models of the underwater portion of the Painted Rocks. What lies underneath the Painted Rocks has never been studied before and creating a 3-D replica of the Painted Rocks above and below the water's surface would provide information for an archaeological catalog.

- What was found at the Kee-O-Mee wreck?
The team found some remains of the railing on the back of the Kee-O-Mee. There is a large trail of debris located at the underwater wreck. The Kee-O-Mee was widely recognized on Flathead Lake in the early 1900s and is an historic artifact. In 1937, the Kee-O-Mee caught fire and people were pushing it away from their private docks. Then the wind pushed it east across Somers Bay where it capsized.
