- The number of seals in the Thames Estuary has doubled to 3,500 since the Zoological Society of London carried out its first annual survey in 2013.
Thea Cox, from the ZSL, flew above the estuary with naturalist Mike Dilger to find out where the seals tend to concentrate.
She hailed the increase as a "positive sign of the health of the ecosystem".

- For the first time in 60 years, sheep are being allowed to roam loose on Hampstead Heath. The animals have been placed there in a bid to manage vegetation as an alternative to machinery. The five animals have been supplied by the inner city Mudchute Park & Farm and is being run by the Rare Breeds Survival Trust and the City of London Corporation, which owns the heath.

- Bacteria has been found within the tonnes of sewage dumped into the River Thames and scientists have found that it could be resistant to antibiotics.
The scientists at the University of Warwick are concerned that if any of them become very resistant, then it will form like a new disease.
Thames Water have said that more needs to be done to manage possible antibiotic resistance in our water across London.

For most women, it’s the first time they get to experience art work and many find it a very therapeutic and socially-engaging activity.

Many of the women are using it to bring back the memories of Somalia, combining their old life with their new life in London.

- With more than 15,000 restaurants in London that use a great amount of single-use plastics, Spring restaurant has come up with alternatives and is aiming to run its business in an environmentally-friendly way.
The restaurant has done this through reusing their plastic storage boxes, using straws made from vegetable compost and they've stopped using cling film.
Spring hopes that other restaurants across the capital will follow their example.
