- FORECAST | A Few Severe Storms This Evening
- Date posted
- Description
- We start out warm and muggy this morning in the 70’s with a few clouds around. This afternoon highs will reach the mid-to-upper 80’s yet again with high humidity and increasing clouds as our next front approaches. That front will move through late this afternoon into the evening bringing showers and storms. Out of the storms that do form, a few could be severe with damaging winds and hail being the main threats. There is a level 2 out of 5 risk in place for severe storms. These look to move out by midnight. The front stalls near our coastline and will bring a few more rounds of rain Thursday and Friday. Another system is forecast to push through Friday night into Saturday which will bring another chance for showers and storms. We dry out heading into Saturday afternoon with cooler and drier air ushering in. By this weekend, highs will dip into the 70’s with lows in the 40’s and 50’s.

- We start out mild this morning in the 60’s with a few clouds around and some morning fog. This afternoon we will see partly cloudy skies with highs in the mid-80’s. An isolated storm or two is possible later today north of HWY 84. Tonight, most of the storms will stay to our north, but a few could dip into our northern counties. If this happens, a couple could be strong/severe. Lows tonight will stay muggy in the mid-60’s. Through the rest of the week, we stay unsettled as a couple of systems are set to move through. The first looks to trek through our area Wednesday into Thursday bringing scattered showers and storms, plus the chance for a few strong storms. Another system is forecast to push through late this week into this weekend which will bring another chance for showers and storms. We stay very warm through midweek with highs in the mid-to-upper 80’s, but will cool back into the 70’s for the end of the week into the weekend.
