The bogus report showed a dead body with a pistol lying nearby whilst a voiceover insinuated that the Ukrainian National Guard had shot a civilian. All the while a caption on the lower left side of the screen reads "Donetsk Oblast, Ukraine."
The problem was that the clip was not taken from a video made in the Donetsk Oblast of east Ukraine in recent days but rather from a video shot in the Caucasus region of Russia in November 2012 when Russian forces were undertaking an anti-terror operation.
