Description: Campuses have been tense with clashes between pro-Israeli and pro-Palestine advocates since Hamas' October 7 attack on Israel. Some 83% of Jewish college students have experienced or witnessed antisemitism firsthand, and 41% of Jewish students felt the need to hide their Jewish identity, according to a study conducted in 2024 and published in 2025 by The Anti-Defamation League, Hillel International, and College Pulse.

There is plenty of quantitative data, compiled from polls and surveys, that shows the experiences of Jewish students since October 7th. But what are the reasons why they are feeling the way that they do?
