In a petition submitted to Members of Parliament, women’s organisations said that women’s reservation should not be linked with the census and the upcoming delimitation.
As the Parliament’s special session is currently ongoing, they have also demanded that the women’s reservation bill and the delimitation bill should be kept separate.

- Following protests by corporate laborers at multiple locations in Noida, domestic workers are now also protesting for higher pay. This morning, a demonstration in Noida Sector 21 in front of a group of apartments called Cleo County turned violent; many protesters were allegedly beaten and lathi-charged by the police.
