- Madonna is not a fan of Las Vegas, residency-wise or sleep-wise.
The entertainment legend is not headlining a residency at Sphere, or anywhere else in Las Vegas. She dropped this news during a panel discussion Friday night at the Beacon Theater in New York City. The Tribeca Film Festival event focused on her “Confessions II” visual album, due out July 3.
Moderator Anderson Cooper (filling in for “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon, a late drop from the event) asked Madonna what she planned after the album goes public. This led to a Q&A about a tour, and the “Vogue” hitmaker possibly headlining a residency at Sphere or anywhere in Las Vegas.
According to multiple reports, the entertainment icon responded, “The Sphere is cool, but I don’t want to wake up every morning and see Vegas, I just don’t.”
As reported by the New York Post, a member of the crowd shouted, “Never Vegas! Not Vegas!” Madonna then laughed, “I ne...

- Highly anticipated restaurant openings in Las Vegas run the gamut.
On the one hand, Kwame Onwuachi of New York City and Washington, D.C., one of the most celebrated American chefs of the current generation, opened his Maroon Caribbean steakhouse in late April in the Sahara Las Vegas. On the other hand, pastrami pandemonium ensued when The Hat sandwich shop launched in early May after a seven-year wait.
Now, the In-N-Out Burger at the BLVD complex on the Strip has announced its debut Tuesday, apparently ahead of schedule. In a statement for Neon in late April, Denny Warnick, chief operating officer for the company, said no confirmed opening date had been set, but “we anticipate opening later this summer.”
Word of the arrival of In-N-Out, encompassing about 8,000 interior square feet and a 2,500-square-foot terrace, emerged in October 2024, and online mania and speculation quickly followed. The restaurant, at 3747 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Suite 3-...

- Jardin, the bright, airy, gardenlike spot for breakfast, lunch and brunch in Encore at Wynn Las Vegas, has closed after almost 10 years.
In a statement for Neon, a spokesperson for Wynn said the property was developing an American restaurant to replace Jardin, one that will offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. Jardin, notably, did not serve dinner.
The restaurant opened in December 2016 in the space previously occupied by Botero. A recent menu featured sticky buns, chocolate chip red velvet pancakes, shakshuka, braised lamb hash, wagyu flat-iron steak and eggs, a Jardin breakfast burger, a spicy Korean chicken sandwich and a shaved prime rib melt.
In recent years, Jardin had been used in the evenings to host an Asia-Pacific pop-up and a Mediterranean and Middle Eastern pop-up.
The spokesperson said the property hoped to announce the name and opening date of the new restaurant soon.
