Golden Nugget Las Vegas has added 3-Dice Yahtzee to its gaming floor, becoming the first casino in Las Vegas to offer the table game, according to Galaxy Gaming, the game’s developer.
The house-banked game pits two sets of three dice against each other, with players wagering on whether the Red or Blue side will win, or whether the two sides will tie.
“There’s a reason Yahtzee has been a favorite around kitchen tables for generations, and we wanted to bring that same fun to the casino pit,” said Tyler Knight, director of product management at Galaxy Gaming. “3-Dice Yahtzee takes the excitement of Yahtzee and turns it into a fast, head-to-head table game. Golden Nugget is our first Las Vegas installation, and after seeing how well players in other markets have taken to it, we think Las Vegas is going to love it too.”

- A local developer has set out to build a new hotel-casino along Las Vegas Boulevard several miles south of the Strip.
Developer Michael Ochoa has drawn up plans for a resort that, as seen in drawings filed with Clark County, is called Silverado.
The project, at the northwest corner of Las Vegas Boulevard and Richmar Avenue, would have 300 hotel rooms and a 57,000-square-foot casino, along with food-and-beverage outlets, entertainment and conference space, county records show.
That comprises the first phase of the development, with the second phase calling for an additional 150 hotel rooms.
All told, the 13.5-acre project site a few blocks north of Silverado Ranch Boulevard would have two six-story hotel buildings and a five-level parking garage, according to a county staff report.

As she described it, the city was “seeing the dividends” of its efforts to revitalize the once-sleepy Water Street corridor.
Five years later, the mixed-use project known as The Watermark is completed and open for business. But after a series of legal and financial woes, including a bankruptcy case, the property went into foreclosure.
Southern California landlord Next Wave Investors acquired The Watermark this spring, after lenders cleared the way for a foreclosure of the building, according to property records, business-entity filings and court records.
The Watermark’s original developers obtained nearly $28 million in additional funding early last year to finish the once-stalled project, putting the venture back on track.

Property records indicate that developer Jeffrey Soffer and his wife, Colleen, acquired a two-story, 9,857-square-foot home in the Summit Club, a wealthy enclave of Las Vegas’ Summerlin community, for $25 million.
The sale, by former NHL goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, closed last month, records show.
The mansion wasn’t formally listed for sale, so its luxe features weren’t publicized on real estate sites such as Zillow. But Clark County records show that the six-bedroom, eight-bathroom house was built last year, that it occupies a 0.8-acre lot, and that its garage alone spans around 2,100 square feet.
Soffer’s real estate firm, Florida-based Fontainebleau Development, did not provide any comments for this story.

The proposed deal comes after a monthslong competitive sale process that generated nine letters of intent and follows the default of a construction loan that court filings now say has more than $105 million due and owing.
