- Chinatown, the center of Korean barbecue restaurants in Las Vegas, now has one fewer. Mr. BBQ, on Spring Mountain Road, closed Sunday. The restaurant announced the closing in recent Instagram and Facebook posts.
“After an unforgettable run as Mr. BBQ in Las Vegas, we’re closing this chapter with full hearts,” the posts read. “We’re beyond grateful for every meal shared, every celebration hosted, and every memory made with our amazing community. You made this place more than a restaurant, you made it home.”
Mr. BBQ opened in December 2022 at 4240 Spring Mountain Road. The debut was an expansion from the restaurant’s home in Fullerton, California. That location remains open.
Mr. BBQ served what it described as premium, all-you-can-eat Korean barbecue at lunch and dinner, with more than two dozen protein selections, including scallops, teriyaki chicken, spicy garlic pork butt, wagyu beef belly and prime grade beef short ribs.

The show, which premiered in 2022, is based on an Australian series by the same name. It follows a group of cast members on the autism spectrum as they explore dating. The fourth season will follow past season castmates as they dive deeper into the unknowns of a blossoming relationship.
The show has been well received by critics and won several Primetime Emmy Awards.
This season, audiences meet Logan Pereira, 25, from Las Vegas. According to representatives from Netflix, this is Logan’s first dip into the dating world.

The yacht rock band, which stands alone as a yacht rock residency production on the Las Vegas Strip, has signed through 2027 at 1923 Live, just upstairs from Minus5 Ice Bar (tickets on sale at 1923lv.com).
Noel Bowman operates both venues. He and Docksiders founder Kevin Sucher have curated — or, rather, created — a lively scene in the high-level club.
“The Docksiders have created something truly special here, an experience that keeps guests coming back, again and again,” Bowman said in a statement. “Extending this residency was an easy decision.”
Often compared (at least in this space) to the Bronx Wanderers on the high seas, the show cruises through such yacht rock gems as “Africa” by Toto, “How Much I Feel” by Ambrosia, and “Sailing” by Christopher Cross.

“I geeked out over it,” Perez says today.
“My mom would tell us we were going, and I’d feel that rush of excitement before we even got in the car. To me and my sister, it was pure magic,” Perez says. “The lights, the games, the energy … and especially the Midway stage. The acrobats, the specialty acts, the performers flying through the air like it was nothing. I’d sit there for 30 minutes at a time, waiting for the next act, watching each incredible performance over and over again like it was the first time.”
Perez is now inviting his fans to step right up, to use the circus vernacular. His band the All Nighters will play the Midway at 8 p.m. April 17. The show is the launch event for his new album, “Dámelo” on TLG Virgin Music Group, spotlighting the new single, “Mad World.” That song inspired Perez’s idea to play Circus Circus....

Egg Works on West Flamingo Road, which debuted 28 years ago, will shutter after service on Easter Sunday, April 5. Brad Burdsall, owner of the Egg Works and Egg & I restaurants, announced the news in a post on the Egg Works Instagram.
“I am deeply grateful to our incredible staff, past and present, who brought kindness, energy and care to every breakfast plate and lunch special,” the post says. “And to you, our guests, thank you for choosing us day to day, year after year … I hope you’ll stop in to enjoy one more meal with us — whether it’s your usual order or one last cup of coffee at your favorite table.”

The artist born Lalisa Manoban broke sales records among female K-pop artists with her 2021 debut album, “Lalisa,” which has exceeded 815,000 in sales, more than 750,000 just in South Korea, where Lisa is based.

This project seemed like a show that could run an Adele-style 100 dates, lavishly staged, custom-designed for the Colosseum stage. You could possibly say this show was built for a mere 12 shows. But the production I saw was built for a longer run than a dozen dates.
