- The Sacramento River near Tower Bridge and the I St bridge has risen significantly in the last few weeks after these back to back storms.
Drone video shows the river getting close to the bottom of the bridges, similar to what happened in March of 2019.

According to radio reports, they had heavy fire through the front and roof when the first engine arrived.
They called a knockdown on the fire at 11:18am.
An investigator and SacPD officers are on scene.
To our knowledge, no injuries were reported.

- Sacramento Fire crews cleared the scene following a brief water rescue at Discovery Park.
Around 3:25 p.m. Wednesday, crews were advised of a person stuck on an island of land, surrounded by water, according to radio traffic.
Engine 15, Engine 20 and Rescue 20 responded, and brought a boat unit to safely bring the individual back to the boat ramp off Natomas Park Dr.
That person was not injured.

1500 block of Q Street
Sacramento Fire crews have been on the scene since 8:37 p.m. Thursday night for a commercial fire that broke out in the attic of a Victorian-style apartment building located at 1522 Q St.
Due to the size of the fire, a 2nd alarm was called for additional resources and personnel. As a result, Q St was closed between 15th St and 16th St, as well as 16th St at R St.
Fortunately, there have been no reports of injuries so far, and the Public Information Officer was on the scene to provide more details.
Crews worked diligently to contain the fire and ensure that everyone in the vicinity was safe from harm.
The cause of the fire is still unknown but is being investigated.
Captain Keith Wade talked with PSN about the incident.

Watt Ave and Elverta Road
Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District, CHP - North Sacramento and the #SacramentoCountySheriffsOffice are on scene of a deputy-involved vehicle accident that occurred around 2:07 a.m. on Watt Ave and Elverta Road.
According to CHP, the patrol vehicle was traveling westbound on Elverta when it was T-boned by the north-traveling white vehicle. According to reports, it is undetermined at this time what the signal light configuration was at the time of impact.
The driver of the white vehicle was ejected through the windshield. He and his three passengers, and the deputy, were transported to the hospital in unknown condition.
There were five patients which constitutes a Multi-Casualty Incident being declared due to the number of patients.
We do not know the condition of the deputy, or the other patients at this time. ...

- At 11:18 Tuesday morning, officers from the Sacramento Police Department responded for a Shotspotter Activation and phone reports of shots fired, with a man laying in the street. When officers first arrived on scene, they reported having a man down, unresponsive and requested for the fire department to respond code 3 (lights and sirens).
Neighbors tell PSN, bystanders had started CPR and officers took over when they arrived on scene, then the victim was transported to the hospital via paramedic ambulance.
“Officers are investigating a shooting that was reported around 11:20 a.m. in the 3800 block of Haywood St.,” said Officer Ryan Woo, Public Information Officer for the Sacramento Police Department, in a written statement to PSN. “One male adult victim was located at the scene and transported to a hospital for treatment, where he was later pronounced deceased. - The Sacramento Fire Department responded to an early morning 2-alarm structure fire at 11th and G Street. Upon arrival, they found two separate residential buildings involved in the fire. Fortunately, both buildings were vacant at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. However, one of the structures collapsed due to the intensity of the blaze. Capt Parker Wilbourn stated via Twitter, "Crews arrived to heavy fire coming from the front of the home; four victims were inside at the time. Two were able to self-rescue, crews located and rescued a victim, and we’re heartbroken to report the last victim succumbed to fatal injuries. The fire is under investigation."

- Sacramento Police and Fire responded to reports of a vehicle accident involving a wrong-way driver just after 2:30 p.m. on Del Paso Blvd.
According to radio traffic, the driver was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of Del Paso Blvd when they crashed into a Sacramento Police CSI van, which was on scene of a separate incident.
The driver was injured and needed to be extricated from the vehicle. She was transported to UC Davis in unknown condition.
Police also found a pedestrian who was hit when the collision occurred. That person was also transported to UC Davis in unknown condition.
No Crime Scene Investigators or officers were injured in the crash.

- Sacramento Police and CSI are investigating after a shooting incident Wednesday morning.
According to radio traffic, two neighbors were shooting at each other, when one was struck by gunfire.
The victim later showed up at the Natomas Urgent Care with a gunshot wound to the lower back.
The victim had reportedly called an Uber driver to bring them to the location after the shooting.
It is unknown where the actual shooting happened at this time.

- Eastbound Business 80 was closed after a vehicle crashed through the railing and landed on the freeway below.
A semi-truck hauling an excavator lost control coming around the corner at Marconi and the Business 80 overcrossing and went up over the curbing, taking out a signal light and the railing/fencing, which fell on the freeway below.
The debris did not fall on the vehicle below; the vehicle ran into the debris, per the dispatch supervisor at the Sacramento Police Department.
There were no injuries reported in this incident.

- About 2:15 A. M. Wednesday, the Roseville Police Department became engaged in a pursuit of a stolen vehicle, according to radio reports.
At some point in the pursuit, the vehicle crashed into a structure. While backing out, the suspect rammed a police unit, then continued.
Eventually, the pursuit terminated on Roseville Road at Watt Avenue. The two passengers were immediately detained, however, the driver took off north and hid amongst transient encampments near Airbase Drive.
A multi-agency police perimeter was established with the aid of the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office and the California Highway Patrol.
The suspect was eventually captured by CHP officers in a transient encampment off of Airbase, according to radio traffic.
There were no significant injuries reported for this incident.

On November 25, 2022 at approximately 3:57 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 4100 Block of 23rd Street. Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim, a 37-year-old man had been shot at least one time. Prior to officers arrival, the victim was taken by friends to a gas station where an ambulance responded to take the victim to an area hospital. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the victim later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to take over the investigation. They will be processing the scene, canvassing the area, and interviewing witnesses.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after next of kin have been notified.

- About 1:30 A.M. Thursday, California Highway Patrol officers at the Capitol reported a vehicle accident in front of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, adjacent to the Capitol Building.
The, obviously inebriated and stumbling, female driver slammed into the back of a full-size SUV at the intersection of L and 12th Streets.
Too impaired to engage in a field sobriety test, the driver of the sedan was taken into custody and placed in the back of the Sacramento Police cruiser.
The occupants of the SUV were sore, but otherwise uninjured and refused paramedic transport to the hospital.

- Two Sacramento Police Officers have been transported to the hospital after crashing into a tree during a high-speed pursuit in the Noraltto Neighborhood of Sacramento.
The suspect vehicle was wanted for traffic infractions and led officers on a spirit reaching speeds of 100MPH.
The suspect vehicle was traveling westbound on West El Camino Ave. when the officers' vehicle collided with a tree at Western Ave.
One officer suffered a fractured femur and head injuries, according to reports, nd the other suffered minor injuries related to airbag deployment.
West El Camino Avenue is closed in both directions between American Avenue and Edgewater Road, with the incident under investigation.

On October 31, 2022, just after 8:10 p.m., a Sacramento Police Department officer driving a marked police vehicle was involved in a vehicle collision. The officer was on their way to a call for service involving a felony in progress. While in the area of May Street & Bell Street, the officer’s vehicle and a motorcycle collided in the roadway. At the time of the collision, the officer did not have their emergency lights or siren activated. On October 21, 2022 shortly before 10 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 1400 block of Grand Avenue to assist the Twin Rivers Police Department following reports of a shooting in a parking lot at Grant Union High School. Evidence of a shooting was found however there were no victims at the scene. A short time later, officers were notified that a shooting victim had self-transported to a local hospital. - On October 20, 2022 around 12:35 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 3900 block of N Street for a report of a shooting. When officers arrived on scene, they located a male adult with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Due to the circumstances, homicide detectives and crime scene investigators responded to take over the investigation. They will be processing the scene for evidence, canvassing the area, and interviewing witnesses. On October 15th, 2022, at approximately 11:26 PM, California Highway Patrol's (CHP) South Sacramento units were dispatched to a fatal hit-and-run traffic crash which occurred on northbound Stockton Boulevard, north of Requa Way. Approximately one hour later (October 16th at 12:31 AM), as officers were on scene investigating the aforementioned fatal crash, a 2007 Ford Mustang traveling northbound on Stockton Boulevard at a high rate of speed entered the closure and collided with an officer on scene. The officer who was struck was standing outside of a patrol vehicle and sustained major injuries; the officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment. - On October 7, 2022, at approximately 12:52 p.m., a Sacramento Police Department patrol officer was in the area of Franklin Blvd and 52nd Ave when they observed a vehicle driving recklessly in the opposite direction. The vehicle was driving in the bike lane at a high rate of speed and ran a red light. The officer was in a marked police vehicle, made a U-turn, and activated their emergency lights and sirens to conduct an enforcement stop.

- Around 8:30 pm Sunday, Roseville PD was alerted to an LPR (License Plate Reader) hit for a Tesla associated with a wanted homicide suspect out of Fresno.
RPD located the vehicle at Topgolf and was able to verify the suspect was inside with the help of helicopters STAR (SSD) and H-24 (CHP).
RPD waited with spike strips at the exits until the suspect exited the building around 11 pm. Around 11:30 pm RPD descended on the parking lot and took the suspect into custody. No additional information is known at this time.

- Around 3:45 p.m., Monday, Sacramento Fire responded to a vehicle accident involving a dump truck along Folsom Blvd between Power Inn Rd and Jackson Rd.
In the collision, the dump truck overturned and landed partially onto the other vehicle, causing major damage to the vehicle.
At least one person was transported to the hospital unconscious.
Another person was treated at the scene for their injures.
Traffic in the area will be slow going until the truck can be removed from the area.
