- CITRUS HEIGHTS, Calif. (PSN) -- About a week ago, a firefighter with Sacramento Metro Fire was honored for his work during a cardiac arrest call that he was assigned to around two years ago.
Firefighter/Paramedic Ronald Quinn says he responded to reports of a cardiac arrest call near Metro Fire's Station 21. When crews arrived on scene, they located a female patient who was unresponsive and not breathing.
Paramedics then took over for the husband, who was performing CPR prior to fire crews arrival. A defibrillator was used over three times before her heart started to beat again and her pulse came back on the way to the hospital.
After eight days in the hospital, she came home and is now back to normal life...

- SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — Just after 12:30 AM Friday, Sacramento fire department crews responded to reports of a vehicle fire in Improv Alley off 7th Street in Downtown Sacramento.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames near an old apartment building. Crews from Engine 2 quickly extinguished the blaze, but not before a second vehicle caught fire.
An arson investigator was called to the scene, and according to radio reports, the initial vehicle was confirmed to be stolen. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
