- SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — A suspect has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in South Sacramento earlier this week, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office announced Wednesday.
Deputies responded around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to 39th Street and Mascot Avenue, where they found an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to the hospital but later died of his injuries, officials said.
Sheriff’s homicide detectives identified the suspect as 51-year-old Okouava Saelee, who allegedly argued with the victim before retrieving a firearm from his vehicle and shooting him several times. Investigators said Saelee then fled in his vehicle.
Detectives obtained a Ramey arrest warrant, and members of the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau located and arrested Saelee in Sacramento on Wednesday. He was booked into the Sacramento County Main Jail, where he is being held without bail.

Amar Gandhi, the incident unfolded around 3:00 a.m. at 1750 Howe Avenue when Sacramento Metro Fire personnel responded to a fire alarm triggered inside the building. - SACRAMENTO, Calif. (PSN) — An armed robbery in the 4500 block of Mack Street has left authorities searching for a suspect who reportedly stole a Bobcat tractor in broad daylight. The incident occurred just before 11:15 a.m. Saturday when officers were called to the scene after the victim was threatened at gunpoint.
According to the Sacramento Police Department, "officers believed the suspect was inside of a residence in the 7500 block of Rubens Parkway." While no suspects are in custody as of yet, the investigation remains ongoing.
