- Just after 2:30 Sunday morning, the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department and the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a vehicle vs semi-truck with vehicle driver trapped, on Northbound Watt Avenue at the Westbound Interstate 80 offramp.
According to bystanders, the vehicle ran the red light crashing into the truck coming off of the freeway.
When fire crews arrived, they found the vehicle crashed into the side of the truck. The vehicle struck and split one of the truck's 50-gallon fuel tanks, spilling fuel all over the roadway.
The vehicle driver was extricated from the vehicle and transported to the hospital via paramedic ambulance in unknown condition. The truck driver was uninjured.
Metro Fire's HazMat 109 responded for the HazMat situation.
At the time of this posting, Northbound Watt Ave is shut down and traffic is being diverted onto Westbound Interstate 80.

- Just before 1 a.m. Friday, Engine 60 from the Sacramento Fire Department was dispatched to the Mobil gas station at 8461 Folsom Blvd., for a male with a severe leg laceration. Moments after Engine 60 arrived, they called for emergency back-up from law enforcement as they were actively being assaulted by the patient, according to radio reports.
Engine 60's crew backed out and waited down the street for officers to arrive and secure the situation.
Arriving officers located the subject walking down the street in front of the Folsom Boulevard Flea Market and were able to calm the subject. Officvers began treating him while Engine 60's crew returned to the scene to take over medical care.
The leg wound was bandaged and he was transported to the hospital by Medic 62.

- Just before 1 a.m. Thursday, California Highway Patrol and the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire Department responded to reports of a vehicle rollover accident at the intersection of El Camino Ave at Fulton Ave.
When units arrived on scene, they found one vehicle rolled over in the westbound lanes of El Camino, and another vehicle crashed into a fuel pump in the Chevron gas station.
The driver of the rolled-over vehicle was transported to the hospital via paramedics ambulance with minor injuries, CHP said.
The driver of the vehicle crashed into the fuel pump was uninjured and was cooperative on scene.
The fuel pumps were shutdown and CHP is investigating. No further details were immediately available.

On February 16, 2022 at approximately 6:33 p.m., officers responded to the 4500 block of Truxel Road regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located one subject, an adult male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began life-saving efforts which were later taken over by personnel from the Sacramento Fire Department. Despite these efforts, the subject was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Officers detained multiple subjects at the scene. Detectives and crime scene investigators are responding to take over the investigation and will be conducting a thorough canvass of the area for evidence and witnesses. This investigation is in the early stages and information is limited. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the victim after next of kin notifications have been made.

On Tuesday morning February 15, 2022, a 37-year old male inmate experienced a medical emergency and died while in custody at the Sacramento County Main Jail. The subject had been in custody for approximately 31 hours, for felony vehicle hit and run resulting in death or serious/permanent injury {PC20001 (B)(2)} and was being held on $75,000 bail.
Review of several hours of surveillance video leading up to the medical emergency shows no indication of physical distress by the inmate or subsequent warning of impending emergency. The subject did not indicate a medical issue at the time of intake nor during the last two custody sessions. The fire started around 1:40 p.m. and there are currently three warehouses involved.
Sacramento Police have shut down southbound 5th St from Broadway as well as 1st Ave east of 5th St where the fire is active.
At this time the fire is mostly contained, but light smoke is still visible and there will be extensive overhaul required.
One firefighter was also minorly injured on scene, appears to be dehydration.

Officers conducted an enforcement stop on a vehicle which did not yield. A vehicle pursuit was initiated and shortly after, the suspect vehicle collided with another occupied vehicle. The occupant of the vehicle sustained a non-life-threatening injury and was transported to an area hospital. The suspect then fled on foot and was safely detained. The suspect was determined to be DUI. The suspect was arrested for multiple related charges.

- Around 1:45 a.m., Sacramento Metro Fire responded to reports of a vehicle accident along Watt Ave near William Way.
Once on scene, they located one vehicle in the center median facing southbound, and another vehicle overturned on William Way.
Firefighters broke the windshield of the overturned vehicle so the passenger could get out.
According to radio traffic, the overturned SUV was t-boned by the other vehicle, causing the driver to lose control and roll over.
The passenger was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt, but luckily did not sustain major injuries. He was transported to the hospital via ambulance.

- California Highway Patrol and Sacramento Metro Fire are on scene following a vehicle accident in North Highlands.
The incident occurred just after 5 p.m. when the driver of a tan Lexus crashed into a few parked cars along Zachary Way, and continued on, eventually parking at a home on Jion Court.
The initial crash pushed one car into a few mailboxes and into the driveway, parallel to the home.
The impact caused fluid to leak from the suspects vehicle leaving a trail that led right to where he parked.
Witnesses on scene say the suspect seemed to be intoxicated but we have no official word on that at this time.

- Early Wednesday morning, crews from the Sacramento Fire Department responded to reports of a residential structure fire in the 2500 block of Maybrook Drive in the Natomas area.
The first arriving engine reported heavy fire coming from the garage. While in en route they received reports that an occupant of the house went back in for the dogs. Everyone was accounted for on Fire's arrival.
Fire crews initiated fire attack on the garage and checked the attic for extension into the house.
Crews knocked the fire down quickly, however the vehicle in garage continued to put off heat and had to be wenched out of the garage.
No injuries were reported. The vehicle was demolished and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

- Roughly an hour ago, Elk Grove PD and a few other local agencies had a procession for fallen officer Ty Lenehan as his body was moved from the Coroner's office to the funeral home in Rescue, Ca.
The procession left the Coroner's office, went down a few side streets, and entered Highway 99 towards Elk Grove. A few laps were done in Elk Grove before coming back north and eventually onto Highway 50 to head to Rescue.
People watched from the streets and on highway overpasses as the procession drove by.

When the Neuman Enterprises valet attendant went to the garage to get the vehicle, there was a person in the front seat of the vehicle already. When the attendant inquired of the person's identity, he gave a name close to the partial information on the valet ticket, and the keys were turned over to the subject.

- Earlier this afternoon, Sacramento Sheriff became involved in a pursuit of a suspect who was known to police.
We started tracking the pursuit around Watt Ave and Roseville Rd in North Highlands. The suspects made their way down Watt Ave and onto Business 80.
They eventually exited at E St and drove through downtown and Midtown at speeds up to 80 mph.
At this point, Sacramento Police also joined in the chase.
The suspects ultimately crashed going southbound on Elvas Ave near 65th St. About 3 to 4 parked cars were involved.
Three suspects ran from the vehicle, and were quickly apprehended.

On January 13, 2022, at approximately 8:55 pm, the Citrus Heights Police Department received a 911 call regarding an intoxicated subject armed and brandishing a firearm in the area of Antelope Rd. and Tupelo Dr.
Officers responded to the area and located the subject armed with a firearm. Upon contact, the officers verbally engaged him and attempted to deescalate the incident; however, the subject pointed the gun at the officers. One Citrus Heights Police Officer fired his duty weapon, striking the suspect. Once the suspect was disarmed, Officers rendered medical aid. The suspect was transported to an area hospital by ambulance, where he was pronounced deceased.
The suspect is described as a white male adult in his 30’s. His identification is being withheld until the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has notified his family.

At approximately 6:29 p.m. on Thursday, January 13, 2022, the Sheriff’s Communications Center received a call from a subject inside a business on the 6900 block of Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento County. The caller stated they heard gunshots and they believed someone had been shot inside a vehicle. The caller then stated that the vehicle containing the victim was driven away from the scene.
Upon arrival, deputies found evidence that a shooting had occurred but no victims or victim vehicle was on scene.
Homicide detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene and are actively interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence. No further information or suspect information is available at this time.

- Around 6:30 p.m., Sacramento Sheriff was alerted to a possible shooting in the area of Stockton Blvd and 65th St.
A female victim was transported to UC Davis with gun shot wounds to the leg in unknown condition.
Deputies have a vague description of the suspect, but have not located him yet.
CSI is also on scene doing an investigation.
According to radio traffic, a security guard at the location was seen collecting the shell cases and throwing them into the garbage.

- Just after 2 P.M. Wednesday, the Sacramento Fire and Police Departments responded to reports of a ruptured gas line in the 700 block of Fruitridge Road in the South area of Sacramento.
When crews arrived, they found that a one-inch gas line had been ruptured underground when a cable construction crew ran into it with a Ditch Witch.
Sacramento Police Department closed off Fruitridge Road to all traffic between 28th and 24th Streets, significantly impacting the start of rush-hour traffic in the area.
PG&E crews responded to repair the ruptured gas line.

- Around 7 P.M. Sunday evening, the Folsom Police Depart became engaged in a pursuit of a vehicle occupied by at least three suspects.
According to reports, the occupants of the vehicle were involved in a grand theft situation at a Kohl's in Folsom.
The pursuit headed westbound on Highway 50 toward Sacramento, with speeds reaching upwards of 120MPH, according to radio ports. The pursuit stopped on Alhambra Blvd. just north of Stockton Blvd.
Eventually, all occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody and transported back to Folsom where they will answer for their crimes.

- Just before midnight Monday, the Sacramento Police and Fire Departments responded to reports of a vehicle into a commercial structure on L Street between 15th and 16th Streets.
According to reports, the driver blacked out causing his vehicle to depart the roadway veering to the left, over the curb, striking a parking meter and trashcan then smashed into (but not penetrating) the wall of the California State Department of Health Building.
Both driver and passenger were transported to the hospital via paramedic ambulance with what appeared to be minor injuries.

Homicide Investigation - 5900 Block of South Land Park Drive
On January 2, 2022 shortly after 7:30 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 5900 block of South Land Park Dr. regarding a report that a subject had been shot. Upon arrival on scene, officers located one victim, a male adult, who sustained at least one gunshot wound. Officers attempted life-saving measures however the victim was eventually pronounced deceased at the scene by responding personnel from the Sacramento Fire Department.
Detectives and crime scene investigators responded to take over the investigation and will be conducting a thorough canvass of the area for evidence and witnesses. This investigation is in its early stages and information is limited. The circumstances surrounding this incident remain under investigation and there is no suspect information to provide at this time.

- Just before 9 a.m. Saturday, the Sacramento Police Department was advised of a stolen Tesla from The Exchange Sacramento, Curio Collection by Hilton at 1006 4th Street in Downtown Sacramento.
When the Neuman Enterprises valet attendant went to the garage to get the vehicle, there was a person in the front seat of the vehicle already. When the attendant inquired of the person's identity, he gave a name close to the partial information on the valet ticket, and the keys were turned over to the subject.
The attendant, skeptical, went back into the hotel and asked the front desk who was staying in the room. He quickly realized the name was not a match and rushed back to the garage, but the vehicle was already gone.
The owner was able to live-track the vehicle and stayed on the phone with dispatchers, guiding officers to the vehicle heading back into downtown toward the hotel.

Upon arrival they found the vehicle, which had knocked over a stop sign, went through a fence and crashed into the side of the home.
Luckily the home was vacant at the time. However, the home was undergoing renovations and was currently for sale.
